Horrible Experience THE WORST DEALERSHIP!!! STAY AWAY.. I’ve been searching for a truck to my specification and GMC of Norwood in MA had two trucks on the lot that was THE WORST DEALERSHIP!!! STAY AWAY.. I’ve been searching for a truck to my specification and GMC of Norwood in MA had two trucks on the lot that was exactly what I was looking for. I live 4.5 hours away and before going to the dealer I asked if they could do a trade appraise over the phone bc it will be difficult for me to come there and not have the deal worked out being 4.5 hours away. Lets go back… I made a phone call regarding the truck and asked the lady I believe her name was Gean if they had snow plow prep. She said the trucks did not have it, I then said you have to see the physical window sticker or the build sheet bc that’s where it would be listed. Her response is you don’t need to school me I know what I’m doing, I get a phone call from a salesman and he said both trucks have the snow plow prep. Whatever! I ignored the situation and moved on.. now talking with David Cross who I was told was a manager but turned out he was a salesperson, he agreed that I needed to send several pictures which I did. I clearly pointed out that the truck is very clean but there are two issues which are the 4 tires are low and need to be replaced and the car fax will show the accidents, so please run the car fax before I come to Boston. Ok he calls me back and said from the pictures you sent and running the car fax we will give you 30k for the trade and will sell you the truck for 72k which was roughly around 2600 off the truck. Not a great deal but ill spend the money to get what I want. I than decide to leave work early and drive down to GMC of Norwood. 4.5 hours later I arrive at the dealer. Definitely wasn’t a friendly environment from the get-go. They then looked at my trade-in and said the truck is very clean as you described but there is a problem. I said please do not pull this on me now. They said the car fax shows three accidents and the tires are low. I said ok this was all information given to you prior to coming down, I CLEARLY STATED TO RUN THE CARFAX TO SEE THE REPORT AND THE TIRES ARE LOW, what’s the issue?? They said it shows three accidents, I said ok that’s why I was told that you ran the car fax prior to me coming down so all the information was given, and regardless if there is 3 accidents or 20 accidents or no accident, I clearly stated to run the car fax because of the accidents and was told that your dealer ran the car fax before giving me the number on my trade before driving 4.5 hours away. I then asked to speak to a floor manager who came to me, his name was Christiano and I grieved to him the situation, he said let me go talk to the Manager whose name was David Coogan to and see what I can do. He said the manager DAVID COOGAN is not budging on his decision, I asked to talk to him. DAVID COOGAN rudely said that’s it we are giving you 26.5 for your trade and you said there was one accident. Wait what I said is to run the car fax prior to me coming down because of the accidents. I explained to him that the things he pointed out about the truck are the things that I disclosed and asked you to run the car fax which will show the accidents. His response is we don’t run the car fax before you come down because it costs us money and besides why would you ask us to run the car fax with a giggle and started laughing with the business manager TIMOTHY MOORE…. He said you were obviously hiding something. Wait “I’m hiding something,” I clearly told you to run the car fax before I came down so everything is disclosed. Your salesman David cross said we ran the car fax and saw the pictures including pictures of the tires and we will give you 30k. So tell me what I did wrong, they started laughing at me and said who asks to run the car fax. This is where I lost it and started screaming and I admit I did not use the right choice of words, but they had me drive up 4.5 hours one way, so that’s 9 hours of driving to lie and laugh in my face. I spent my time away from my family and drove 9 hours round trip for no good reason to experience this evil and racist manager named DAVID COOGAN. DAVID was very rude speaking to me like I didn’t understand English laughing at me with TIMOTHY MOORE. I left and drove home in disgust. Christiano and my salesman both said if I were you I would be equally upset and I’m so sorry. They gave me the GM number and name BRIAN HAYES to call in the AM and let me tell you that was just as bad. I decided that I will be professional and explain the situation and it was a conversation that was going in circles and went nowhere. Long story short he asked what did you want me to do, I said honor the deal which I’m still hesitant about driving all the way there again but I will if you honor the deal, he said absolutely not. Funny part is in mid conversation he said he is recording our conversation which seemed to be odd and I believe unlawful, recording a call needs to be disclosed prior. Either way this is not my first rodeo when coming to buying cars, but I will say this is the WORST DEALERSHIP I ever dealt with!! PLEASE STAY AWAY. It is disgusting the way they treated me and the sad part is this is management. More
