Purchased a used 4 runner. Sales clerk took time to explain all aspects of the vehicle. The general manager also made a point to introduce himself, brought me some coffee and thanked me for my busines explain all aspects of the vehicle. The general manager also made a point to introduce himself, brought me some coffee and thanked me for my business. In addition, 2 weeks later I recieved a hand written thank from both the salesman and the general manger. Had to return a month later for a minor issue and it was resolved and I was in and out in less than an hour. Would highly recommend this dealership to anyone who likes quality service. More

After spending close to 9 hours at the dealership, being told wrong information constantly (said one number and then denied that he ever said that number or that I never qualified for whatever numbers he ma told wrong information constantly (said one number and then denied that he ever said that number or that I never qualified for whatever numbers he made up), and difficult to understand because of a language barrier I would tell everyone to stay away! After filling out a questionaire regarding the level of service I received (I rated him very low on the entire survey), I received a call from the salesman, saying that he will now not receive his $1000 bonus and because of me will not be able to pay his bills this month. I've spoken with management about his phone call, and hope that no one else has to experience this type of innapropriate and (maybe?) illegal behavior. More
Signed lease agreement. Took home car for four days. Was called to return car due to financing. I feel they should have done a better job of informing me of my options. With a signed lease agreement i Was called to return car due to financing. I feel they should have done a better job of informing me of my options. With a signed lease agreement in hand, I was led to believe that everything was final. I would have settled for a car within my "bank-approved" limits had I known. I feel that I was taken advantage of because I am a woman. I felt that I was belittled by all of the "hype" as to why this was the "perfect" car for me. After leaving with more than enough paperwork, even including maintenance package, I surely thought that this was a done deal. If this is "standard" practice for purchasing a car, then shame on everyone who looked me in the face that Saturday night. More

I had the work performed by Outside shop and returned 4 days later for aligment as recomended. then they added several aditional items as recomended maintenance items, when i asked what had changed in 4 days i was told this is what toyota recomends. I told the service Rep. to show me Why now i needed a $140.00 dollar transmission oil flush after 30,000k miles on a 2006 new vehicle he told me to my face that it was because of the extreme driving conditions. I pointed out to him that this is florida not alaska and no 4wd no towing package and mild temps and hardly any trafic stop and go. what was his interpretacion of extreme. He then puled the dip stick and egreed that the fluid looked and smeled good. I then pointed out to him the label ring on the dip stick that said you do not need to change the fluid on this transmission unless it was 4 wheel drive or unde exteme conditions. I think as a certified mechanic myself they are twisting the toyota recomended main plan to fleese inocent customers especialy the the elderly customers who take their word and dont look at the owners manual. Three seperate visits. First visit - oil change, tire Three seperate visits. First visit - oil change, tire rotation. When I drove off there was a noise coming from engine compartment. When I got home Three seperate visits. First visit - oil change, tire rotation. When I drove off there was a noise coming from engine compartment. When I got home and opened hood I found a hose that had been disconnected. Second visit - oil change, tire rotation, brake check. I stated specifically there was a noise coming from right rear brake when I applied the brakes. After checking I was talked into turning the rotors and drums. Never had any follow-up on my concern of the noise. When I drove away, still had the same exact noise. Third visit - oil change, tire rotation, A/C service. Explained clearly to Sam that I wanted the A/C coolant level checked and topped off as needed. Sam said all work would take 1.5 hours. 2.5 hours later when the tech brought my car around I asked him about the freon level. He said he didn't check it because it was not on the work order. After trying to explain it away as a misunderstanding; they took the car back again. The freon was low as I had suspected and they finally did what I asked. The total was supposed to be $62.95 + tax but my bill came up $89 + tax. I will never never never ever go to those A-holes again. More
I had been working with Sean Payne on and off over the past few weeks in order to purchase a new 4Runner. Sean by the way is a very pleasant person to work with, but this message concerns one of the sales past few weeks in order to purchase a new 4Runner. Sean by the way is a very pleasant person to work with, but this message concerns one of the sales managers. Yesterday, Saturday July 7, I was at the dealership with a price offer from a few competitors in Daytona and the Tampa area. Sean was very helpful in working to try to match the price offers. It all seemed to go well, the sales managers (apparently) accepted the price match. The only part we did not agree to was the dealer fees, which two other dealers offered to waive. I arrived Sunday afternoon at the dealership with the intention to buy the 4Runner. Sean was off, but a very nice gentleman named Jean was able to help me. He sat me down with one of your sales managers and this is when things took a turn for the worse. Jonah Vandergriff, sales manager walked up and sat down at the table. He had a copy of both emails from the other dealers and a copy of his invoice sheet. We discussed his offer which was much higher than what the sales managers seemed to agree on the day before. He told me that my numbers were "all bogus" and that Southeast Toyota places additional fees not listed on the MSRP sticker. I inquired about the fees, asking him to show me them on the sticker price sheet, as I had only seen the destination $695 and the dealer admin fee of $599. I mentioned to him that my invoice numbers were based off many different sources, USAA, edmunds, kbb, NADA, fightingchance.com, cars.com, yahoo car buying service, carsdirect.com, autobytel, etc.... Everyone had the same invoice with all of the options and destination fee. When I mentioned carsdirect.com, Jonah got up from the table and muttered "Go but it from them." Here is where it got nasty. I reached for my emails and Jonah literally snatched them from my hands and screamed "That's not yours!" I politely informed him that it was my emails that I wanted back and not his invoice sheet. He sure was touchy about almost losing that invoice sheet. As I walked toward the door, I heard him tell somebody behind the desk, "I should have popped that guy." Now I am 6'3", 195 lbs, and a former US Marine so I really doubt that would have happened. Again the issue I have is with Jonah Vandergriff, not anyone else at the dealership. This is the place that I bring my 02 Tacoma in for service, but this is likely to change. More
Shopped online, made an offer, it was accepted by only two out of the eight local dealerships. This one was the fastest and most eager to please. 6/24/07 we went to the dealer to purchase a Prius. They didn't have one with the options that we wanted but we were told that they could have one from another dealer by Friday the 29th. We went through all didn't have one with the options that we wanted but we were told that they could have one from another dealer by Friday the 29th. We went through all the haggeling, agreed to a price, did the credit stuff etc. Everything is a go until the very end when we are told that we need to make a $1000 deposit. We told them no way but we were willing to sign a contract right then. Both became visably upset. We were then told that they would do it without the deposit and would contact me the next morning by 10 am. No call. I finally got a call around 2 saying that they we working on it. Wednesday I call in and salesman tells me that they can't get the car because I didn't give a deposit. They try to sell me one they have in stock without the options I wanted. I got so disgusted with them that I don't even want a Toyota now. I purchased a Honda Civic Hybrid. The deposit, which they said was refundable, appears to be some kind of scam. Beware of this place!
