Jeannie was my service advisor. She was amazing! It was a lengthy, stressful process and she kept me informed the whole time. My repairs were extensive and took 2 1/2 months. She was amazing! Jeannie would call weekly and offer reassurance that all my issues were being addressed. I can't recommend her enough. My local dealer has now lost me as a customer due to their unwillingness to help. I live 90 minutes away and its well worth the drive! More
5 stars for salesman Izaak, he was awesome. We called ahead of time to come look at a specific used vehicle we saw online and he had it ready for us when we arrived. We test drove the vehicle, he was friendly, professional and accommodating to all of our questions and concerns and ultimately, we decided to purchase the vehicle. The day after the sale, he called to ensure we were still happy with our purchase. I have no negative comments regarding him. However, 3 stars on finance team. We do feel like we got railroaded by the finance team. We came to the dealership with a preapproved loan from our credit union and money down to get the pricing fair. During negotiating, we discovered that there were a lot of add on fees on the bottom line which in our opinion, were negotiable. They had nothing to do with taxes or registration. The cost of the vehicle went way up with these add ons so we asked them to remove anything not mandatory, ie: taxes and registration. Long story short, after they returned to the table 4 times we were finally told that some of the "add ons" were non negotiable. They were dealer mandated fees that we had no choice but to pay. One of fees I'm referencing is their service package. They call them "add ons" but in my opinion, add on means optional. If I go to McDonalds and just want a burger and coke, I shouldn't have to pay for the fries too. That's how we felt with this service package. They quickly let us know that it was not optional, we had to accept their service package or they would not do the deal. Now granted, they did lower the price of the service package, but they would not do the deal unless we paid for part of the service package AND here's the most aggravating part. They said we had to use their in house lender instead of our lender! They backed us into a corner to purchase something we didn't want (service package). We didn't want this because we didn't see the value in it and we live more than 2 hours away so why would I want to buy something and drive my car two hours one way to get services? When we asked them why we had to use their lender, they admitted it was because they could get their kickbacks. We have excellent credit, I mean EXCELLENT so money is money and I just didn't understand why they would not work with us unless we used their lender and bought their service package. The finance manager actually grabbed the paper off the table and got up to walk away and said "sorry we won't be able to do business." I said "whoa whoa whoa!" You don't get to just decide we don't get to do business when we came in here with a preapproved loan and money down. This is called negotiating and you still have not explained a reason why our lenders money is not good here! If I didn't love the vehicle so much, I would have just walked, but, we had looked at several other vehicles from other dealers, and this one was the one we wanted, so ultimately, we caved and we made the deal work. The next day when we went to pick up our vehicle, we overheard another couple going through the same thing we did. They were also frustrated over these dealer add ons. When we went to sign papers on the vehicle with the finance team, they of course tried to upsell more products such as warranties etc. When we declined the main one they offered, he kept asking us "why?" Almost in an insulting and condescending tone. We did purchase two add on warranties that we knew we wanted but I guess because they weren't the higher priced ones they mentioned, it wasn't good enough. So, am I happy with the vehicle I purchased? Yes, but everyone after the salesman himself, made us feel like our money wasn't good enough for them. We came with a preapproved loan and money down but it wasn't good enough unless we used their lender and purchased their service package. I can't honestly say if I would buy another vehicle from them. We have purchased multiple vehicles from dealers in our lifetime and never ran into this situation before. More
