Since 2002 I have gotten five Toyota vehicles (1988 and 1996 Land Cruisers, 2000 and 2002 Camrys, and 2005 Sequoia) serviced and repaired at Central City Toyota, Philadelphia PA with Mr. Ed White as my Ser 1996 Land Cruisers, 2000 and 2002 Camrys, and 2005 Sequoia) serviced and repaired at Central City Toyota, Philadelphia PA with Mr. Ed White as my Service Manager. Ed White gives the best advice imaginable and the best quality and cost-efficient service I have ever gotten on any vehicle that I have ever owned. Ed White's insights and recommendations on repairs have saved me thousands of dollars over the years by providing outstanding advice and expert repair by his team of mechanics. I bought a used 2002 Camry and a used 2005 Sequoia from Central City Toyota because I knew that they would be serviced by the best Toyota service team in the United States, under the supervision of Ed White. For each of my two vehicles purchased at Central City Toyota, I also purchased the Toyota Platinum Warranty per Ed White's recommendation. Each warranty has paid for itself and has saved me additional hundreds of dollars in repair costs, above the cost of purchasing each warranty. When my colleague at Drexel University wanted to purchase a hybrid car, he bought a new Prius through Ed White at Central City Toyota because I told him he would receive outstanding service with Ed White and his Service Team. My colleague has been extremely happy with service for his Prius and he has now recommended other family members and friends to get their service done with Ed White at Central City Toyota. I gave my car for the regular service and to check on a tire which was losing pressure. I received a call from Brian after 1 hr saying no damage was found in the tire but recommended to change 2 other tire tire which was losing pressure. I received a call again after few minutes saying that they have found a nail in the tire and said 20 $ to fix that for which I agreed. Finally I went to pick my car and found a big scratch on the front fender. When addressed the manager instead of finding out what happened became very defensive and was giving reasons saying they have all the walls painted blue and red and the scratch was white. It was very unprofessional for a manager to speak like that. Then after a week I checked the pressures and found it to be low on the same tire. Also the tires were not rotated for which I have been charged. I really doubt if they even have changed the oil or done anything for that matter other than making the big scratch. More
After a very unfortunate experience at another Toyota dealer I went here and they not only listened but seemed to understand. I took my Camry in for service and was very happy with the way I was treated. They picked up my car and returned it to me in a timely manner. I would highly recommend this dealership. I work at a Toyota dealership in Florida, but was travelling back to PA to visit family. I was flying into Philly, and need to rent a car for the week. I called Todd and told him I wanted to rent a C travelling back to PA to visit family. I was flying into Philly, and need to rent a car for the week. I called Todd and told him I wanted to rent a Camry so he reserved one for me. When I flew in Todd had a service employee pick me up from the airport to bring me to the dealership. He picked me up in the car I was going to be renting, so I was in and out of the dealership in 15 minutes since all I had to do was sign the rental contract and insurance info. When I returned the car a week later I had a friend taking me to the airport, but Todd had someone lined up to take me if needed. They did a great job in making everything easy for me. I work at a dealership that is known around Jacksonville for great customer service in our sales and service department, but I was very impressed by Todd and everyone I came in contact with at the dealership. I would highly recommend them. More
I live in NJ about 1.5 hours away from them. I was able to find the car I wanted. Kevin is incredible to work with. He want above and beyond, no paper work, no talking to the sales guy/manager excuses, he took the car into the shop and adjust the spare tire (they could know the problem when delivery) pressure right away. The registration stuff at the dealership FedEx my registration, plate and title on time and no extra charge(I heard NJ dealer wants $25 for FedEx). I think the things I see at the dealership is that all of people there works together. There were no "ask the manager" routines. Everyone knows their job and making sure the customer get the best services. The documentation fee was $55, that it!!! The dealer in NJ charges much higher plus a lot of extras that I don't need. I always buy cars from my nearest dealer, Honda, Acura, Nissan etc.. But the Toyota dealers I visted in NJ are impossible to deal with. Thank You Kevin and Central City Toyota. More
