Ready to Purchase ... and the deal changed. 5/13/2020 To Mr. James Rourke, owner Central Avenue Nissan Dear Mr. Rourke, You probably don't get involved in these matters, but I had a had an 5/13/2020 To Mr. James Rourke, owner Central Avenue Nissan Dear Mr. Rourke, You probably don't get involved in these matters, but I had a had an issue this morning that prevented me from buying a car at your dealership today. Yesterday, I inquired about a 2015 Nissan Rogue SV (stock # 13158U) for my daughter and spoke several times with a very polite salesperson, Eric. Since I reside in Great Neck, I asked Eric to give me a final out-the-door price for the vehicle. The price breakdown was $11,405.00 + taxes $1194.56 + Plates $202.00 + CPO $1995.00 + cash payment non rebate $450.00 - which made the total for the vehicle - $15,246.56. This morning I called and agreed to the price and asked to have an afternoon appointment to see and test drive the car. I was then told by Eric that there was a mistake and that because the car is a 2015 it cannot be a CPO vehicle. When I asked if the $1995.00 for the certification would be removed - bringing the price down to $13,251.51 he said no. He told me that the price would be that same that he quoted me - without the CPO status. I asked him why - and he handed me off to your GM, Nelson. Nelson explained that the price was going up on the car tomorrow and that your dealership already put a lot of money into repairs to make the car ready for sale. It almost appeared as though he was saying I should be grateful to get the car at the $15,246.56 price - even though it would not have the 7 year warranty. As a consumer, I found this very distasteful and one that did not reflect well on your dealership. I don't expect that this will have any bearing on this sale, but as business owner myself I thought you might have a concern about the optics of this transaction. As I am not certain that you will receive this message, I will follow-up with a letter. Very Sincerely Yours, Dr. Stein More
I can’t believe the nasty minded people that works here. I leased a 2017 Nissan Sentra from here and when I took the car in for service they tried telling me I have to pay for a part that is under warranty, I leased a 2017 Nissan Sentra from here and when I took the car in for service they tried telling me I have to pay for a part that is under warranty, then they said I am responsible for the labor I had to fight with them for 2 days until they gave me back the car. Now that my lease is up I tried taking another car from them and they convinced me to leave money down on a car so the deal can go through. The deal did not go through and they refuse to give me back my money. I will never again lease a car from here and I Will be escalating this issue to corporate. More
Terrible experience. I normally don't write bad reviews for places because I get everyone is just trying to do their job but my experience at Nissan Yonkers was the worst I normally don't write bad reviews for places because I get everyone is just trying to do their job but my experience at Nissan Yonkers was the worst dealer experience I've ever had. It didn't start out bad, the salesman took me for a test drive and I loved the car. I was actively looking and ready to buy. The salesman got me down to around what I wanted to pay per month with a certain amount down. I signed and gave an initial $500 deposit then things got bad. First, initially I had been told, the salesman would be taking my current Jeep lease back to the Jeep dealer and paying all fees associated with it. This turned into they would cut me a check to pay Jeep but they were unsure about any extra fees. Sketchy no? I agreed anyway. Then I went to speak with the finance person and what the salesman had failed to mention is the amount I agreed upon do put down didn't include taxes, fees, etc. So my down payment was $1000 more then I agreed to. Also, you are charged a fee for using a credit card (I've never had that before). I was over the entire situation and just wanted my $500 back. The salesperson insisted on trying to lower the price, etc etc, but at this point I didn't trust a word he said. One of the finance guys came over to speak with me and told me they don't usually give deposits back and they tried to work with me and he never had even heard of my previous leasing company (like that mattered in the situation?). I could not wait to get out of there at that point. Not only did I feel disrespected and lied to (probably partly because I was a young female by myself) but I felt incredibly discouraged to even keep looking at other dealerships. I highly recommend you avoid here unless you like hidden fees and pushiness. I was there for over 5 hours and left with nothing but a headache. I just bought a new car yesterday and let me tell you, it was the 100% opposite of that experience (no hidden fees or taxes, no one pushing me to buy anything, no one making me feel bad, no extra fees on my deposit of $5000 and the entire process was less than an hour and a half). If you can, avoid Yonkers Nissan. It's not worth the headache. More

This does not include the additional $1500 worth of unnecessary repairs they recommended. Nissan likes to use the argument that their mechanics are specialized to deal with Nissan vehicles. Don't believe them, I'll take an experienced honest mechanic over any of the guys at Central Avenue Nissan. And Henry, the head of service....we can have a dialogue here on this site. I know the owners treat most of you guys poorly but sooner or later, you lie to the wrong guy, who doesn't blindly follow your recommendation and actually check your work. More
Nissan might be the most poorly run Japanese car company Owned or leased a Toyota, Honda and a Subaru. Nissan has been the only bad experience. The car has needed a lot of service. Paying for extra warran Owned or leased a Toyota, Honda and a Subaru. Nissan has been the only bad experience. The car has needed a lot of service. Paying for extra warranty and service coverage is usually a bad decision, it wasn't with my Nissan Murano. The dealership I bought the car from (White Plains Nissan) has closed down due their consistently poor ratings. Central Avenue Nissan might be going in the same direction. Their compensation system encourages their mechanics and service department to recommend unnecessary work. I brought my car in for an oil change and was told by the service rep that Nissan "recommended" over $3000 worth of repairs. I took the car to two independent mechanics who both told me that they were recommending some unnecessary work and was overcharging on the work that was necessary. The cost to repair was a little more than $1500. DO NOT USE CENTRAL AVENUE NISSAN FOR REPAIRS WITHOUT FIRST GETTING A SECOND OR THIRD OPINION!!!!!! These guys are great at making it sound like they are doing you a favor. I did not give them a rating for their quality of work because I did the repair with someone else. More

We do want to highlight the ONE AND ONLY positive of the experience, which was the very nice and helpful saleswoman Vicky. Unfortunately, Vicky was continuously undermined by her flippant, arrogant, and rude manager. We were told he was the only one available on Sundays. Tip to management - if you keep letting this guy talk to customers you will be out of business in no time. The "business development" people lied to us about being able to match or beat a deal from a competitor. They wasted our time. It's 2018, and continuing to practice bait-and-switch advertising just leads us to feel you deserve to go out of business. The price we were quoted not only didn't match the offer, but would have cost us $5,000 more over the span of the lease. Then the manager came out, and things spiraled downward. He continuously claimed to be an experienced operator with 21 years under his belt but he acted like a petulant child with no clue how to conduct himself in a customer service interaction. So on the one hand, we were very disappointed that Central Ave Nissan wasted our time. On the other, we were very happy they let us walk out of the dealership, because it enabled us to go to Teddy Nissan and receive OUTSTANDING customer service, as they gave us the deal we requested in a pleasant, professional manner. If this "manager of 21 years" understood lifetime value he wouldn't have let us walk out the door. Central Ave lost our business for life, but thankfully Teddy Nissan was more than happy to gain it. They are full of CRAP I emailed them with the exact model Rouge & options I was looking for. After a few back & forth emails with Melissa Ojeda (BDC Sales Coordinator). I I emailed them with the exact model Rouge & options I was looking for. After a few back & forth emails with Melissa Ojeda (BDC Sales Coordinator). I was emailed a quote. I replied asking if it had the options I wanted and if it was in stock. She assured me that was the price and it was in Stock. I went there and Melissa had me sit with a salesman Felix Armas who told me the price was MSRP. I showed him the email. He left for a moment and came back & said oh that price was a mistake but he could sell it for $3000 over the quote. He would also have to locate it because it wasn't in Stock. He then brought a manager Jason over who told me the same thing. The price quote was too low and he didn't have the vehicle in Stock. I told them that I felt I was lied to just to get me in the dealership & at that point I wouldn't buy a vehicle from them even if they were $10k below another dealer. STAY AWAY FROM THE THESE SCAM ARTISTS. More

As a young lady I feel this Nissan dealer tried to rip me off. I was quotes over $3,000 for repairs that did not need to be done to my car. $1400 for a leak on a part that was already replaced by a difference dealership and $2200 for a whole muffler system when all my car needed was a minor repair costing me $100. I spoke to the owner, Mark Brennin, who instead of being apologetic and offering to do something about this criminal misconduct, he gets offended and hangs up on me. I put in an official complaint with nissan north america's consumer affairs. Do not trust these guys, they will rip you off. Thank God I got a second opinion. More
