Not impressed Have had numerous experiences at Toyota dealerships for service over the years, but will limit our comparisons to the nearest dealership in Iowa City. Have had numerous experiences at Toyota dealerships for service over the years, but will limit our comparisons to the nearest dealership in Iowa City. We were not greeted, no one came to the car to record mileage, and we had to seek out a service rep. While waiting, we witnessed that rep tell a woman she needed new wiper blades and when she told him that CR Toyota had just changed them a week ago, he backtracked and said maybe there was dirt on the windshield. NOT acceptable as far too many service reps try to take advantage of women and elderly customers by selling them unneeded services. We witnessed a similar thing at the other dealership and thought CR Toyota was more honest than that. In addition, there weren't any refreshments other than coffee and popcorn (at 8:45 AM) plus the waiting room was dirty and cramped compared to the other dealer. We went to check whether our car was finished as no one ever came. When it was returned to us, it was dirty whereas the other dealership does a quick wash. We didn't get any sense that they did anything other than rotate tires for our 5,000 mile service. When we asked about recording the visit, we were told we could get a receipt if we wanted it. Even CR Toyota's service center across the street (with the VW dealer) go over your fluid levels and tire wear with you before you leave. Forgot to mention that they offer soda pop too for those who don't drink coffee. More
We needed to replace the key fobs and change the code on our Prius since my coat with the keys in it had been stolen. Steve Lemke did a masterful job setting us up to do so. The bonus was the they found out the good fob could be recoded and not replaced lowering the job $ 150 from the quoted amount. Great job guys. Larry More

We have worked with Chris Griswold at the previous dealership he worked at. He was great to deal with there,so I was glad when I saw he was there at the quick lube! If he thinks a service is recommended (based on his experience), he will say so, and likewise he won't try to sell you on a service or maintenance item which you do not currently need. I have dealt with pushy/ less-than-candid service providers, even at this dealership, but Steve is a departure from that. I would recommend anyone looking to service their vehicle at CR Toyota seek out Steve. You will be grateful for it. More
They did a great job offering assistance and explaining the problem with the car to my wife. After the service I drove the car home and noted it is very quiet and smooth just like performance as new. My 2004 Prius was purchased new at this dealership. The repairs required are minimal. I also had the wheel bearings front replaced. I think the Prius line of cars causes a problem for Toyota. The cars last a long time which saves the customer money. On the other hand if the customer keeps the car for 500,000 miles then the sales department loses income. The service department doesn't make much money either if problems are rare. I have never driven a car this distance. I have not had service on the CV joints, engine or hybrid battery. The engine uses a quart in 3000 miles but performs apparently just like new. More
