When I called the CR Toyota dealership to inquire about the possibility of having someone take a look at it before my trip for Chicago/Milwaukee several days later (of course I had not set an appointment in advance), I was pleasantly directed to take the car to the service bay at the Volkswagen building next door where drive-up customers were welcome. The person working the desk there (the service ticket indicates it was Chris Griswold) was instantly welcoming and proceeded to input my information into the system (I did not buy the car locally) and service my car quickly and professionally. You know when the weather is so perfect that you don't notice it at all (you're neither too hot nor too cold, etc.)? Well, I sort of had that feeling during my recent service trip to CR Toyota. Chris was so authentic, it was like dealing with a long-time friend, and for the first time in a long time I was able to enjoy a service experience because I did not have to think about it at all (Do they know I'm here? How much longer? Are they going to try to sell me something I don't need? Am I an important customer to them?, etc.). More

So impressed I made a point to put the store on my 'first look' list when searching for a new car, which I purchased last Mar. Never disappointed on my dealings with them, including this last service of repacement of a broken window. Kevin ordered the part so we'd have it on time for a following week service call. Altho Steve in service could not promise it would be done on Mo, was completed by the afternoon and the vehicle was ready to go. More

I wasn't even expecting it to be serviced that same day, but surprisingly it was diagnosed and fixed in under an hour. JD was extremely pleasant to work with. He was friendly, informative, and willing to help me out at a moment's notice. More
12 year old Highlander As usual, I took my 2003 Highlander in for service. As usual, they are friendly, courteous, fast and my Highlander is still running smooth and quiet. This is a great outfit I've always had a good experience at Cedar Rapids Toyota. The repairs are done right and the service area has great popcorn and cookies. Cam shaft replacement We rated customer service average because of the following: We originally went in to schedule an appointment to have an estimate to have a cam-shaft We rated customer service average because of the following: We originally went in to schedule an appointment to have an estimate to have a cam-shaft replaced. Joe said that we had some recall work that needed to be completed also. Great. However, upon review, Joe said that our extended warranty had been cancelled. We planned on investigating with Toyota to see if this was the case. My wife dropped off the car the day of the estimate. Previously, Joe had said that it wouldn't take long to get an estimate. My wife had to call later that day and the operator had to hunt Joe down in order to get a response. Hey, that kind of stuff happens. But, why no call back sooner? After we picked up the car from the estimate (and before we dropped off the car for repair), we did find a document in our glove box that said our warranty was still eligible. I forwarded the document to Joe via email and also called him to tell him it was on the way. I had to call a couple of days later to confirm that the repair would be covered under warranty. Once again, why no call back. Why did we have to generate the inquiry? Maybe nitpicky. But, we were expecting a call back sooner both times. More
Problem of a defective battery replaced under warranty. I have been a long term customer and always receive great treatment from everyone at the dealership. great service I have always taken my Toyotas here to get any maintenance done on them. Never have had a bad experience yet! Have had 7 different Toyotas. 3 of the trucks had gone over 400,000 miles or close to it... Camry was at 330,000 before selling all 4 of them.... :) Great work!! More
