It was great to work with the Cavender Toyota dealership and Spencer Herrera, our sales person, for the purchase of our new 2013 Toyota Avalon XLE Premium Sedan on Saturday, December 21, 2013! We originall and Spencer Herrera, our sales person, for the purchase of our new 2013 Toyota Avalon XLE Premium Sedan on Saturday, December 21, 2013! We originally started thinking about buying a Toyota around March 2013 when I found Spencer's name on the DealerRater website. I selected Spencer because of his many positive reviews. At that time, I told Spencer on a telephone call that I wanted to look at new Toyotas at the dealership but we would not be buying then. I asked Spencer for a convenient day and time when he would not be busy since we were not buying. Spencer provided me with a day and time, and I went out to the dealership. Spencer spent about an hour with me where I rode in both a new Camry and Avalon. Spencer completely answered all of my questions; was extremely patient, and did not put any pressure on me to buy at that time. During the intervening months, I would call Spencer about different Toyotas and different newspaper/television ads. During each of these calls, Spencer was very responsive to me and answered all of my questions. On Friday, December 13, 2013, my wife and I decided that we wanted to buy a new 2013 Avalon based upon the $1,000.00 rebate offered during Toyotathon. I spoke with Spencer and several other dealerships, all of whom were all very nice to me, in order to price compare the particular Avalon that we wanted. Spencer provided me with a very competitive sales price for the particular Avalon having the features and color that we wanted. All negotiations for the Avalon were done via telephone calls and e-mail messages without making a visit to the dealership. We went to the dealership on Saturday to purchase our car, and Spencer sold it to us at the exact price he promised in his e-mail message. The make ready work on our car was great, and the make ready staff spent a good deal of time with us explaining the Avalon's features. Again it was a pleasure for us to work with the Cavender Toyota dealership and Spencer. In addition we love our new Avalon. Based upon our experience, we gave Cavender Toyota and Spencer great ratings for every DealerRater survey category. More
This is the fourth vehicle we have purchased at Cavendar from Spencer. We keep coming back because he is very accommodating and easy to work with. Update, Steve Cavender took the time and made a bad situation right. He bought back the lemon vehicle and paid us the original purchase price. We walked away with the check for the full amount of the situation right. He bought back the lemon vehicle and paid us the original purchase price. Mr. Cavender assigned the General Manager Marion to respond to our complaint. Marion was evasive, and very hard to reach. He never returned phone calls and was surly and disrespectful when he spoke to my daughter. We were worried there about the sincerity of the dealership when we had to deal with Marion, however, Steve Cavender came though and did the right thing. ******We purchased a 2008 Volvo in July,. We had it back in for service two weeks later, the air condition unit was bad. There was also a security system issue that they refused to repair. Last month we started getting a code for the power steering now the whole steering systems needs to be replaced. Don't buy from Cavender. They sold us a lemon and refuses to help us.
