At first this seems like a very friendly dealership. They seem to work with you. The longer it gets from purchase of my vehicle the more that I realize how bad they screwed me over. I have several different "final contracts" that they presented. All the way from the original one which had a decent interest rate and was for 5 years, to the final ones starting high 14% and 6 year. At 6000 miles I had the first opportunity to find just how well Cavender stands behind their "Cavender Confidence" slogan. Being in Wisconsin at the time, and with a nail in my tire I get to find out that they removed the Road Hazard warranty that they told me and provided paperwork for from my vehicle. According GS Administrators (the back of the road hazard) I called in and removed the service the day of purchase, and a refund was issued. When I contacted Cavender that day I was told that I would have to wait for them to pull the paper work from the archives, this process could take 12 hours. This was when the car was just 5 months old. They did get back to me a few days later and told me they reinstated the warranty as a courtesy for the miscommunication. Bringing it a little more current I had to take the car for it's 15k service last month. During that time we looked into purchasing another vehicle from Cavender, figured we could trade up. After being there for several hours, under the impression that the car was at service during at least part of the time, we got informed that my credit was shot beyond all hope, and they couldn't work with me. My girlfriend submitted hers at the same time, and they didn't bother to run it. We got back out to the car and headed home to notice that the service sticker hadn't been updated on the windshield. When we called them to find out why the service hadn't been done they gave the excuse that they were appraising the car. We understood they said they would be doing that, but they also told us that they would be take it to service to make sure that we could look at the new cars. Once we finally did get it serviced, and got it back on the road there has been a clicking noise from the front end. I have had it to them twice now. I believe it to be a loose hub cap and have told them this, but wanted to be sure that it was nothing more serious, and get it dealt with if it is indeed a broken clip. The second time it was there, they had it for just over 7 hours to tell me that there was nothing wrong with it, and that they couldn't hear the click. That doesn't even get to the falsities that we were told about the car when we purchased it. Things such as it has the "EnTune" head unit and can run the apps from the head unit. That it has 4 wheel disc breaks. That it came standard with accident avoidance features. These are all false about the car that we have. I can't blame our salesman (Mario) as he is just doing what he can. I honestly don't think that he had the training to tell us otherwise, just what he is told to say to sell the car. Anyways, end of the day, the car drives terrible. It rides rough, and it makes a clicking noise. I had been recommending Cavender, and given them the benefit of the doubt several times. Right now, I'm not a very pleased customer. Upon digging through the paperwork and being informed at the other Dealership that my girlfriend is not co-signer as the paperwork indicates (something I'm still not sure the other dealership has right but insist they do), we found many discrepancies and a higher than expected interest rate and term. I think after the experience I have today, I have many doubts about buying another Toyota product in general, and a lot of those come from this dealership. If you've had good luck here, I'm glad for you. I'm sure they have some great people that actually do deliver on their promises. However, I'm not going to be back. Outstanding customer care I had an issue at another dealership that was handled unprofessionally. I was ready to quit buying Toyotas due to this poorly handled situation. Then, I remembered Cavender had treated us well in the past. I asked for the manager, and he immediately assured me they would do everything possible to help get my new 2016 RAV4 fixed at no cost to me. He assigned me his Assistant Manager, Mike. When I returned for my appointment, I was taken care of immediately. The end result was they went ahead and ordered the parts and will fix my broken roof rack at their cost even though they can't get reimbursed under my warranty. I appreciate them listening to my understanding of situation and not shifting blame or responsibility like the other dealership. More

Lied, Decieved, Manipulative Went in with my bank approval, they didn't want that, they were adamant they wNt ed to finance.they offered me 700. I left, manager called me next day telling me that independent car buyer whom we never saw appraised my car, would be happy to buy my car. I didn't take their offer, they ran my credit after I clearly said no. A week later, David Reyes calls me back, asks if I still had 06 Solara, yes and I was crystal clear, I had already bought a car. He stated they wanted my car for purchase because, "the hail situation was winding down and they needed cars to sell, so if I came in, I would leave with check in hand. I came in and David passed me off to another salesman, told me, great news, they now offered me 2000.00 fot7my 06 Solara, why didn't they offer this to me the first time I was there? So salesman then asked me, what I bought, I told him but that was non of his business, I was brought in with intent of toyota buying my 06 by an independent buyer, what a crock! They were still trying to take advantage of me. It was a ploy to manipulate, lie , Decieved me. I was seething. I am still seething!! Who wouldn't be. Cavender claims integrity, quality customer care, instead I was Decieved, lied, manipulated into buying their way, dismissing my bank. I will never walk into or recommend Cavender Toyota. Cavender had no remorse treating me second rate, I have no issues sharing my stressful, horrible experience. I will make every effort to locate Cavender Corp HQ, I'm sure Cavender family would be intrested how I was mistreated, disrespected. More

Service Problem I have purchased two vehicles from Cavendar, a 2004 Tundra and a 2011 Avalon. Previously I purchased a 2000 Camry from another dealer in the San Anto I have purchased two vehicles from Cavendar, a 2004 Tundra and a 2011 Avalon. Previously I purchased a 2000 Camry from another dealer in the San Antonio area. In August of 2015 I took the Tundra in to complete the passenger air bag recall. When completed the air bag cover didn't match exactly the rest of the dash. Since the truck is over 10 years old I didn't worry abut it. Since that time the part which was either replaced, cleaned or somehow else changed has deteriorated and now is very sticky and black plastic is starting to show through. When it took it back, under their service warranty, they said they never removed that part and refused to fix the problem. Basically if their paperwork didn't show that it happened, it didn't in their opinion. Even though the part obviously doesn't match the rest of the dash and if they bothered to look they would see that the original airbag is still in place, they never got past looking at their 8 month old service record. They even stated they didn't have the vehicle for more than 3 hours and couldn't have done anything. We took the vehicle in before the dealership opened, put the keys through the slot and picked it up when my wife got off work. There are only two of us, she worked that day. It is absolutely impossible for us to have taken the truck to the dealership at the time they show it as being received. I would recommend you look for another dealer. If you must go back to them for service I highly recommend you take photos of your vehicle before you leave it with them because if something happens they will not take responsibility. I contacted Toyota and they said this was a dealer issue and refused to get involved other than having the dealer that I had already spoken to twice, all the way up to Director of Operations, contact me. If the manufacturer won't do anything more than that to investigate I will not buy another Toyota either. That isn't something I am happy about as my three Toyotas have been very good vehicles but as they say "fool me once shame on you". I will not be fooled twice. More
