One-star experience at Cavender Toyota because of terrible service. Purchased a new 2024 4Runner on July 31, 2024. While initial interactions were positive, the post-sale experience was extremely di terrible service. Purchased a new 2024 4Runner on July 31, 2024. While initial interactions were positive, the post-sale experience was extremely disappointing. Issues: - Car sold without proper inspection - Misaligned tires - Missing roof rack and cargo cover (was part of the package) Contacted customer relations (Director Dickenson and Manager Hector) about these problems. Dealership's response was slow and inadequate: Took too long to replace tires (45 days) and replaced only 2 tires instead of all 4. And on top poor follow-up and communication Overall, an inefficient and frustrating experience. One of the worst car-buying experiences I've had. I would not recommend More

Purchased their prepaid maintenance package but somehow every time maintenance is due nothing is covered. I mean every single time we have taken it for service something needs to be replaced/fixed and it’ every time maintenance is due nothing is covered. Buyers please beware! Our recent interaction with Cavender Toyota's new car sales department did not align with the brand's core mission of "We Make Confidence Happen! Our recent interaction with Cavender Toyota's new car sales department did not align with the brand's core mission of "We Make Confidence Happen!" Transparency is crucial for any brand to thrive and build customer trust. Unfortunately, our recent experience with the new car sales team did not reflect the essence of "Cavender Confidence." During our visit to Cavender Toyota on 03/02/2024, my husband and I intended to buy a 2024 Tundra while trading in our 2022 Tacoma. While our truck was being appraised, we selected a Tundra for potential purchase. After two hours of negotiations, we felt stuck and requested the keys to our truck. Our sales representative, JD Duran, mentioned that they were with the appraisal team and on the way to the front. The situation escalated when his manager, Andrew Dominguez, laughed at my request, stating, "There is no appraisal team" and "We have your keys." Despite our repeated requests, we felt trapped as we asked for the keys numerous times. Out of frustration, I went outside to search for the truck, but it was nowhere to be found. The lack of professionalism and disrespect we encountered was truly disheartening. We felt powerless, extending our visit until they decided to release us. They finally brought our truck to the front at 10 pm, long past closing time. This upsetting encounter left us feeling unappreciated and disrespected. After sharing my experience with my brother, I discovered that he had a similar encounter during his vehicle purchase on 03/01/2024. This led me to investigate the dealership's reviews, where I found another customer describing similar sales tactics during their trade-in transaction. While the team prides itself on being the top Toyota dealer in the city, this reputation should not come at the expense of transparency. More
I just purchased a used certified vehicle. A month later, the vehicle started to have problems. took it to the dealer since it's certified used and informed me that it's not covered by warrant A month later, the vehicle started to have problems. took it to the dealer since it's certified used and informed me that it's not covered by warranty. It will cost me $$$ money to fix in my pocket. Asked the status of my vehicle if it was repaired or waiting for the parts. (The vehicle its been with them for 4 days now) Called earlier for the status, and told me that a Rep would call me back ASAP. two hours later still no call. called again same answer. Now it's been another 2 hours still call from them. Is this how these dealer operate? Don't Give a Crap attitude. Never again! Beware More
Talk about highway robbery. This place takes first place. I took my vehicle to Cavender on 12 February 2024 to have tire pressure monitoring sensors replaced. I was given a q This place takes first place. I took my vehicle to Cavender on 12 February 2024 to have tire pressure monitoring sensors replaced. I was given a quote of $1233.94 which I could not believe. Genuine O.E.M. Toyota sensors go for about $69-$97 online. So, let’s say you buy all four online for $400 with shipping. Installation time is about 45 minutes, but if the install guy is slow about 1.5 hours. So, let’s say 1.5 hours at Cavender’s hourly rate of $185. This comes out to $278 for labor. How in the world can Cavender justify charging $1233 for a repair that should cost about $678.00? Now I know they must make some money, but charging an extra $555.00 on a job that takes about one hour is simply highway robbery. On top of that, I’m sent a list of recommended services. One was “Oil and filter change with multipoint inspection” and the price shows $44.40 with NO other “additional charges” or fine print stated. So, I accept the $44.40 oil change service. When I go to pick up my vehicle, they attempt to charge me $118. I complain and ask to speak to the service advisor. The advisor informs me the $44.40 is for the labor only. I once again show them the email that I was sent that clearly shows “Oil and filter change with multipoint inspection” for $44.40 with NO fine print or cost additions. He goes to talk to someone and comes back and only charges me the $44.40 To sum things up. I’d like to know how does Cavender justify charging $1233.94 for something when their cost for parts is probably well under $400 and install time is realistically 1 hour? And secondly, what’s up with telling me the oil change is $44.40 via emailed quote and then try to charge me $118 when I go to pick up the vehicle? My advice when attempting to do business with Cavender, buyer beware!! More
