Stay far away from the service department at Nissan of Rockwall. Let's start with $199 for "diagnostics" ... which means plugging in an OBD2 reader and getting a trouble code. (Waived of course if you de Rockwall. Let's start with $199 for "diagnostics" ... which means plugging in an OBD2 reader and getting a trouble code. (Waived of course if you decide to have the work completed.) Then, $428 for a part that costs $269 (retail) on their own website. Add $325 labor for literally removing two screws and inserting the new part...then plugging the OBD2 back in to clear the trouble alert. All of this takes approximately 5 minutes. Complaining about it gets you a $112 penalty for another part (that they forgot to mention you also need). Let's not forget the $69 shop charge for that paper floor mat and disposable gloves by the mechanic. And the coup de grâce, $30 merchant visa fee that they transfer onto the customer for having the audacity to use a credit card. More
On 04/26/24 while searching for a new Nissan Titan on Cars.com, I came across 5 new trucks advertised from Cavender Nissan. I had searched the Cars.com website for 'Pro-4X' trim, and this is how many tru Cars.com, I came across 5 new trucks advertised from Cavender Nissan. I had searched the Cars.com website for 'Pro-4X' trim, and this is how many trucks Cavender Nissan were showing in their inventory. My attention was drawn to their pricing because I have been looking at trucks for a year for purchase and their pricing was at a rate that was consistent with only about 5 other dealers in the US for their low price point. Cavenders pricing was $16,018 below MSRP for these trucks. So for an MSRP of 64,065, Cavender had their 'Cavender price' listed at $48,049. I noticed that they had 5 trucks priced with this discount and each was the trim package I was looking for. (Pro-4X trim level.) To make sure this wasn't some sort of error, I clicked on the 'dealer link' attached to each of the advertisements and went to Cavender Nissan's own webpage and found that not only was this price repeated to the exact dollar, but they also had a pop up screen that promised an additional '$500.00 off any in stock vehicle'. After seeing these prices on both the Cars.com website and the Cavender website, I felt a high confidence that this was their sales price. (It is worth noting that the Nissan Titan is not a good selling truck, in fact, it is the lowest volume full-sized pickup truck in the US with annual sales hovering around 20,000 units sold annually, compared to 700,000 Ford F-150's and a similar number of Chevrolet/GMC trucks sold anually.) Because the truck wasn't a strong seller and is scheduled to be discontinued at EOY 2024, I felt that many dealers are trying to sell off their stock of 2023/2024 Titans. Cavender's advertised pricing was in line with some of the larger Nissan dealers in the south and west US. (see Cookeville Nissan, Lokey Nissan, Peoria Nissan, Courtesy Nissan and Nissan of Orange Park are others that have a similar advertised pricing structure, but actually will honor their advertised pricing....) I located the sales manager, Dimitrius Naylor, on Cavender's webpage and sent him an email directly, asking to buy one of their 5 advertised Pro-4X models at this prince point. Cavenders website proudly displays banners that proclaim, "The price you see is the price you pay!" , "No hidden fees!" "Cavender pricing" among other promises. I sent this message on Friday night 04/26/24, knowing that Mr. Naylor would open it sometime Saturday morning and reply. Saturday morning came and went and I had no response from Mr. Naylor. Because I had clicked on a link the night before for my '$500 Cavender discount on any in stock vehicle' button, I received a text message Saturday morning around 0940 AM. The person sending the text identified himself as 'Clayton Paul' with Cavender Nissan. After what I am assuming was bot generated 'chit chat' which made no sense, but is probably programmed to keeps ones attention until a live sales person can take over. At 0953 AM I received a text asking if I wanted to schedule a test drive for their sale weekend. I replied that I was out of the area, but would like to buy the truck and arrange payment. At about 2:13 PM, I received another text from 'Lilly' at Cavender saying in substance that it was 'extremely busy and she would have a sales person contact me asap'. I heard nothing else from text that day. At about 2:40 PM I sent a follow up email to Mr. Naylor, reiterating fact that I wanted to buy a truck but wasn't hearing anything back from them. I stated that I was trying to figure out why no one was calling me back and thought that they had either 'sold all their trucks' or they 'weren't interested in selling me a truck'. At about 3:49 PM, Mr. Naylor emailed me back saying, "I'm just seeing this email, please call me direct at 4696145349' so we can talk. I called him directly.....and he never answered. I left him a message, reiterating the fact that I had reached out via email and phone several times throughout the day and he didn't seem More

WHEN I WENT TO PICK IT UP THEY HAD NOT REPLACED WHAT THEY SAID. THEY REPLACED THE SAME FUSE NOT ONCE BUT TWICE AND CHARGED $900 AND THEY MADE A NEW KEY THAT WAS NOT AUTHORIZED. NOW THE BILL IS ALMOST $1300 AND THEY DID NOT FIX A DANG THING. THAT IS 10 MONTHS AGO AND I HAVE COMPLAINED TO NISSAN, THE GM, THE SERVICE MANAGER, THE SERVICE WRITER AND I HAVE BEEN GHOSTED BY ALL.
