Cavender Cadillac was awesome with my vehicle’s service. The problems I took it in with were taken care of, as well as a few others I didn’t know about. I brought my car in for a routine oil change Oct8 at which point the service rep Carlos recommended additional services which is common every time I bring the car in for my “free” oil change. $1.3k & 4 which point the service rep Carlos recommended additional services which is common every time I bring the car in for my “free” oil change. $1.3k & 4 hours later I got my car back. Oct30 my car read “Steering assist reduced” the fan sounded really loud & upon the startup the check engine light was on & the coolant temp not registering. I made an appointment the next day figuring it was the thermostat. I came in the morning & met with Carlos who ran the diagnostic & confirmed it was the thermostat & stated that was covered under warranty. I waited for a while before Carlos came back to ask if I needed a ride home since it would take awhile & he didn’t want me to wait. By 5 & no status update I reached out to Carlos & he said they should have it done in the morning that they had the part they just needed to wrap up the job. I took work off on the 31st & waited 12 no update I reached out again & Carlos stated that they were waiting on some gaskets & they’d let me know as soon as it was done. By 5 I reached out since he hadn’t Carlos said they still hadn’t received the parts but that they’d be done by Monday & when I asked for a loaner car he said they were out. So Monday 12 I reached out & Carlos said they were still waiting, when I asked for a loaner car he said if I could get there in the next hour they’d have something. Nov6 I received a quote for additional services totaling $1.8k, some of which were services that were done Oct8 I reached out to Carlos he said not to worry about the additional services, when I asked for status he stated they were still waiting on the thermostat which he had previously stated they had. When I pointed that out he apologized. I received a message on Nov13 stating that the vehicle was ready for pickup, when he brought it to the front he said that the AC was blowing hot air & that I’d have to take the loaner home while they worked on that. THE AC WAS WORKING WHEN I BROUGHT THE VEHICLE IN. He said it was fairly common that when they replace the thermostat they need to reset the AC. I reached out to Carlos on the 14th & he stated that they were going to do an AC diagnostic on the 15th. On the 17th I reached out for updates & Carlos said they were waiting on parts, later that day Carlos said “good afternoon the tech finally got the thermostat replaced test drove vehicle noticed a/c blows warm air would recommend to have it diagnostic done on it the cost for the examination is $285 please let me know be safe and blessed”. I stated I would not be paying for the diagnostic as the issue was cause by them & they could cover the diagnostic he responded “understood thermostat is working the tech states possible may be low on freon have to evac and recharge add dye to figure out whats wrong if you do repairs no fee is added just repair charge if decide not to repair that when the fee comes into place”. I reiterated that the fee should not be my responsibility, two hours later he said vehicle is ready for pickup, I asked if I was going to pickup a vehicle without a working AC he said “correct”. I asked to speak to Katie, his supervisor, she called & heard the story she said they’d cover the diagnostic & apologized for the lack of communication & the service I had received to this point. Hours later Katie said they ran a diagnostic & she had good news & bad news, they found the problem, a leak in the rear condenser, but that’s a $3k job, but that she did some work to ensure that I’d only have to pay for parts which meant I’d pay $763. I had no AC issues when I originally brought it in, I am paying another $700 bucks just to have a working AC. Carlos text me Nov22 stating “good morning katie states we are also going to replace a/c condenser has a small leak call you monday for progress report be safe and blessed”. Nov26 I got a text that said the vehicle was ready for pickup. On Dec1 I got the vehicle back. Worst experience ever! More
