We did the credit application online, received an email and phone call telling us that we were pre-qualified and to just call and come on in to Manahawkin! My husband and I are both disabled and living on a fixed income. We can't afford a huge monthly car payment and we did not have any money to put down on a new car, just a trade-in that we still owed on! We were not asking for much were we??? Just a miracle! And Lester Glenn made that miracle happen!!!! We went home that day in our new 2011 Elantra in the color we wanted plus some nice upgrades AND a monthly price we could afford! Thank you, thank you, thank you to the professional and courteous folks there! More
After hearing many great recommendations about the Lester Glenn dealership, I decided to replace my 2002 Hyundai Accent with a new one. I have purchased many cars in my 64 years, but this dealership beats them all! My salesman, Sam Casiano, was wonderful to work with. He answered all my questions and did all he could to get my financing to my desired payment.All the employees I came in contact with were more than happy to help. I was in the market for a new vehichle for work purposes with very specific needs. I didn't want to pay extra for leather and a sunroof package, yet I still wanted some of the upgraded features such as nav with very specific needs. I didn't want to pay extra for leather and a sunroof package, yet I still wanted some of the upgraded features such as navigation and bluetooth because I spend the majority of my day in a car. John helped me to find a vehicle that suited my needs and my budget. I was very impressed with his laid back sales approach in following up with me without making me feel pressured. I would recommend John to any of my friends in the market for a new vehicle. It was an overall pleasant experience. More
On 4/26/11 we visited Lester Glenn in Manahawkin and met Mike Madruga who helped us purchase our new Sonata. Mike was professional, courteous, respectful, knowledgeable and patient. He explained all the vehicles we were interested in and reviewed pricing and options with us. When I was unsure of the color I wanted he suggested a ride to the lot where other vehicles were stored to make sure I left with the color I was happy with. This dealership is completely customer oriented and they strive to insure a pleasant, no pressure experience. He was attentive during our wait for paperwork to be completed while he was assisting another customer. All of the sales staff stopped buy and chatted helping us to pass the time and making sure we were comfortable. Mike, in the finance department was equally competent. He reviewed all of our options regarding gap insurance, warranty, etc. He helped us make the correct decision for us and chased us into the parking lot when we forgot our free gift of an emergency car kit. We met the sales manager who was equally pleasant while he assured us to see him if we needed anything. We rang the bell on the way out the door to celebrate our new car purchase and left the dealership with a beautifully detailed new Sonata and a voucher for a free fill at the gas station. We were so impressed, that the very next day we went back to Mike Madruga and Lester Glenn to lease a car for our son. They worked very hard to get someone who had NO credit, approved and my son left the dealership with his first new car, an Elantra. I would highly recommed this dealership to anyone who is interested in purchasing a Hyundai. They are a 10+++++. More
Scott was entirely concerned that I find the vehicle that was right for me. I first tried a Tucson because I was looking for driving stability in bad weather but found the seat very uncomfortable. He then suggested I look at the Elantra and Sonata and explained the traction control feature. He was extremely helpful and not pushy throughout the process. From the time we went into this dealership there was no pressure. Always helpful in every aspect. We are new to the Hyundai product. This dealership was recommended to us by friends and they did not steer us wrong. (Mike) explained everything in the vehicle including helping to program my cell phone into Bluetooth. We would recommend this dealership and especially Philip (Mike) Magruda to our friends. He is new to this dealer and was really informed on the product. I used to be the National Sales Manager for a publicly owned Corporation. In-fact, the position actually took me internationally quit often. Over the years I have done business with some of the largest co owned Corporation. In-fact, the position actually took me internationally quit often. Over the years I have done business with some of the largest companies in the world including many Fortune 500 Companies so I have met my share of salespeople. Unfortunately, a few years ago I became disabled and because of my disability I was unable to work. Even though I had good insurance, my medical bills kept adding up until they were overwhelming. Needless to say, while we struggled to pay the medical bills, both my wife and my credit scores suffered. Just recently it became necessary for my wife and I to find a new car but we didn’t think we would ever qualify for a loan. Additionally, I was unable to leave my home to even look at a vehicle. After weeks of looking at used cars my wife just happened to walk into Lester Glenn Auto Group of Manahawkin where she met Scott McIlvaine. After going over our financial situation Scott went to work. First, he negotiated with several lenders over our interest rate. Then, to our surprise, he actually got us a loan with an extremely acceptable rate. Next, because I couldn’t go to Lester Glenn, Scott came to us. Scott drove the BRAND NEW 2011 ElANTRA TO MY HOME, sat with my wife and I in our family room, had us do some paperwork while we had soft drinks and before we new it we not only had a BRAND NEW HYUNDAI, BUT A NEW FRIEND AS WELL!!! I told Scott then and I’ll tell you now. My Wife and I are highly impressed with Scott. I have never had a more satisfying or easier car buying experience in my life and between my wife and I we have purchased or leased 14 or 15 cars over the last 25 years. Now I know what they mean when they say, ”THE LESTER GLENN EXPIERIENCE” Well Done Lester Glenn, but more importantly, Very Well Done Scott McIlvaine!!! More
Poor customer service. We scheduled an appointment to test drive a vehicle at this location. The appointment was made with Kyle, the Internet Rep and with Tom Allen, Sales Manager. When I arrived for m test drive a vehicle at this location. The appointment was made with Kyle, the Internet Rep and with Tom Allen, Sales Manager. When I arrived for my appointment to test drive the car, the greeter went to request Tom for our appointment. He didn't even step out of his office.. instead they assigned a new sale associate who aplogized for not having the car of the lot. In addition I had a promotional card for a $20 gift card to Target for taking a test drive. Sorry, they said.. they didn't have any more. If this is the type of customer service they offer before purchasing a vehicle, I have no doubt about the customer service after I drive off the lot... which I did in my own car and leaving disgusted. I attempted to contact the owners and Kyle with no response. I only had another follow-up email from a new Internet Sales Rep asking how my experience was... terrific communication - Buyer Beware. There are many dealerships out there willing to work to earn your business. More
