I called Hyundai on Thursday and they wrote me right back for an appointment for Friday 9:00 A.M. I met with Jerry Langton and told him I was a first time new car buyer . I told him the car was a surprise for my wife and should have no contact to my home ; He made sure that nobody would call . He even called my Insurance company and asked them not to call my home to ruin the surprise. I picked out a car and between Jerry and Dan they made out all the paperwork and had me sign for the car even after I said I would be back on Monday for pick -up and payment . When I arrived Monday , I had a change of mind over the weekend because my wife seen a car that she said she loved but didn't want to buy because she has a fine running car and was fine with it. I told Jerry about this and he didn't even blink - to change the model and color of car I wanted . He ripped up the contract I signed and started all over! Jerry called the other Hyundai dealer and they had the car my wife wanted . He had the car delivered to the dealer while I waited and made for a good day with me bringing the car home and my wife in tears . I must say in all my years dealing with salespeople this tops the list Jerry treated me like a brother and made me feel good about the deal. I give the dealership good ratings because the overall experience was a good one(as car buying goes) My salesman was Dominic Cuomo. We took a test drive in a 2013 santa Fe. When we got back to the dealership we talked. He was not the least bit pushy. He told me a little about how he had worked his way up to get to the salesman level. For a person his age I was very impressed with how responsible he was, and how he took his position very seriously. There were some complications in the deal because my trade in was in the shop. In spite of this, Dominic was very patient and understanding of the situation. There was a mix up about the e-mail survey (my fault) so I didn't get to give Dominic the praise he deserved, although I did get in touch with Hyundai complement department case#5659205.
