Jetta GLI Engine Replacement This dealer told me I needed to replace the engine in my 2012 Jetta GLI which I proceeded with after I got a second opinion elsewhere due to the high This dealer told me I needed to replace the engine in my 2012 Jetta GLI which I proceeded with after I got a second opinion elsewhere due to the high cost of this repair. I requested a quote for a trade in which I never received, and during the entire process the service manager was uninterested in my questions and concerns about the very large service to my car. They just wanted me in and out as soon as possible which was concerning to me. Frequently it took multiple attempts to reach the service manager and when the service was complete there was little explanation of the work completed, or if there was anything I needed to know about maintaining my new engine. I was simply ushered to the cashier as soon as the car was complete. The technician who worked on my car was very knowledgeable and helpful however the service manager didn’t seem to care enough to make sure I was comfortable with the major service completed to my vehicle.
