This sales experience stated at 1 am as I decided to replace my 2016 F-150 Supercrew. Upon finding out my payoff in the morning I went online and asked for information and an employee price on both a Fo replace my 2016 F-150 Supercrew. Of the four dealerships that responded it was Castle Subaru who we went in person to make the deal. It really started with the phone call from Lisa who did a great job getting down to what I wanted in a car. With limited time she quickly arranged for a meeting with Dave who then set us up to talk with Reese. All of which was done with out making us feel like a number. Reese and Dave answered all of our questions and quickly swapped vehicles when I asked to take the Onyx Outback out first and not the one that Lisa had set up for us. From valuing my trade in to honoring my employee discount the team did a great job. Dave in finance put the icing on the deal and we were able to drive home in our 22nd car of our 36 year marriage. Keeping the 22 car purchases in mind and the team at Castle Subaru joined the list as one of the vehicles we have owned they hit the list as one of the most memorable dealerships. The team from Lisa with her bubbly personality over the phone all the way through Dave in Finance with his direct and trustworthy approach. This team made the drive of over 2 hours worth every second of that drive. More
Driving 2 weeks now without a working drivers seatbelt. Seatbelt mechanism failed and it won’t retract from the wall. This happened May 29th. It’s now June 11th and I STILL DONT HAVE A SEATBELT!!! Never offered a loaner, over 2 weeks for a part to come in. THE WORST service I HAVE EVER EXPERIENCED. Can’t get calls back (Julian or the General Manager have NEVER called back). I’m Having to talk to Corporate multiple times on their lack of “service” and reporting how awful they are. I will never ever buy a Subaru again so I don’t have to deal with these people. I will never recommend this place to family and friends so they don’t have to go through the stuff I’m going through with them! Fighting for my safety for a SEATBELT to be fixed and for a loaner car til it IS FIXED! It’s ridiculous that I could die in an accident or get a ticket for no seat belt bc of this crap DEALERSHIP. Hope they are ready for a lawsuit when that happens. More

Well, Shelby at Castle Subaru completely changed that narrative for me. There was a particular car I was looking for, and Castle Subaru had one available. The only challenge is... I live in California, and the vehicle was near Chicago, which meant that I would buy this vehicle sight unseen. (Huge Gulp!) The pressure was on because every similar vehicle across the country was selling fast, so I had to act with speed. End of story. Shelby and I started discussing my unique situation, and that's when she took complete control of the process with integrity and attention to detail. At that point, I lost all fear about the dealership experience because Shelby was committed to me all the way! Shelby embraced me as a friend, and the experience never felt transactional... she made this experience personal. I was picked up at the airport by Joe, the Italian stud from da Bronx. If you are going to buy a vehicle from Castle Subaru, insist they send Joe to fetch you from home, the bus or train station, or the airport. I promise you it will be a ride to remember. More

Even before I left the dealership with my new Subaru Forester, my sales representative, Mark Sattler spent over 30 minutes in the car with me to show me all of the features. I purchased the Subaru through the Costco Auto Program which provides a substantial discount off the MSRP. I didn't need to haggle over the price or later wonder, "what if.........?" Definitely a very positive experience which is rare from most auto dealerships. More
Buying here was a mistake Shady salesmen, inept mechanics, and poor management to go along with it. We bought a $10,000 used car from them. For me, that is a lot of money. A week after buying it, my check engine light comes on for a cylinder 1 misfire. After arguing with them about it, they agree to fix it. They said it was the spark plugs. A week later, my check engine light comes on for a cylinder 1 misfire. After arguing with them, they agree to fix it. They said it was the engine coil and put some crap foreign part on my car. A week later, my check engine light comes back on. At this point, I brought it to my mechanic who diagnosed the problem as my fuel injectors. I trust my mechanic and paid $1700 for a mistake they should have known about. If that isn't bad enough, here is more. Upon buying it, I told my salesman that the chrome strip on the side is coming off. They agree to "fix" it, but they fix the wrong side. I bring it back. They "fix" it again, but this time they apparently washed the car before the glue settled. I bring it back AGAIN. This time they replaced the plastic molding, not the chrome molding on the side. I bring it back a FOURTH time, and this time they didn't even have an excuse. Steve in service then kept telling me he was looking for the part. I called him every two weeks for over four months! He even asked me to email him pictures, so he could find the part. Flash forward to today. I call about the part. This time, the guy who sold me the car, Derek, answers. He says that it is an after market part, and they won't fix it. He also said that they "took care of me" in the past. I told him to transfer me to a manager, and he hung up on me. I drove to Castle after that, and I spoke with the manager. He told me that since it isn't a Subaru, he's surprised they even "fixed" it in the first place. He said they tried to fix it, but they are not going to keep trying, because it's a used car. One would assume that if they attempted to fix a problem, they were taking responsibility for that problem. I told him that he has inept mechanics. The manager told me that if it's so easy, why don't I just fix it myself. Avoid Castle at all costs. Spend your money somewhere else. Apparently, my $10,000 wasn't good enough for them. If you do end up walking in there, at least do me a favor and avoid Derek at all costs. He is the shadiest salesman there. More

Ron Braman was my salesman this time and I not only have a newer (2018) vehicle, but I also have a new and better feeling about Castle Subaru. As much as I loved my first Crosstrek, my experience with the previous salesman, and the service department left a lot to be desired. Ron was very patient and attentive with my wife and I and although I paid more than I wanted to for the vehicle, I got appropriate money for my trade in and a very good price for my new vehicle with all the bells and whistles. Thank you Ron and Castle for changing my feeling towards the dealership. More
