I had been talking to my salesman Jesse for a months about purchasing a Mazda 3. He's been very patient and kept constant contact with me the entire time over the course of the past few months. When my mom and I walked into the dealership, he immediately grabbed the exact car I was looking for and had it waiting for us. He was very honest and never pressured us. Mike the finance guy was really nice also and was also pretty honest with us about how much I would be paying. Also, if you want competitive pricing on your car insurance I would suggest talking to the Allstate representitive they have on hand there named Parnell. He was extremely nice, knowledgeable and gave us really great information about changing my policy. I was expecting to be stuck there all day, but surprisingly we were only there for a few hours. Most dealerships are shady and require you not to expect much out of them, but I was extremely happy with my experience at Pugi and I highly recommend going there if you want to purchase a Mazda! First Service visit on car that was purchased here. BEWARE! I came in for my first service visit. Since I purchased my car there in march I was told that oil change and tire rotation is for free. I was greeted I came in for my first service visit. Since I purchased my car there in march I was told that oil change and tire rotation is for free. I was greeted by Joel the service advisor. I told him I am here for my first oil change and I had purchase the car here in march. He said great that the first visit the oil change is on the house but I have to pay for the tire rotation on the car for $19.99 since it is not cover. I thought it was weird because a few days earlier the girl at the dealership said both oil and rotation is for free. I didn't want to argue with Joel so I decline the tire rotation. Later on I called back and talk to the service manager John and not once was he apologized for the mistake. So please future customers please be aware or you will be taken advantage of More
Far More Than Above and Beyond I apologize in advance if this is excessively verbose, this will be a long read. I've read numerous reviews. Products, restaurants, home repair, v I apologize in advance if this is excessively verbose, this will be a long read. I've read numerous reviews. Products, restaurants, home repair, vacation rentals, cellular providers, phone apps, car dealers, you name it. At the very least, hundreds, probably thousands. Far too many to remember. I've never written one, until now. I feel that my recent experience with Pugi Mazda and the individuals involved in my episode more than merit that others should hear. Maybe even demands it. This was my second purchase from a Pugi dealership. My prior purchase from Pugi VW went smoothly, friendly, and quickly. Zero pressure. Easy, friendly negotiation led to an excellent price, and their offer for my trade was more than fair. Even the finance office was a breeze. A positive experience all around, I was happy to recommend Pugi to anyone who asked. All those things applied to my recent purchase as well. I generally dread car dealerships. I've lived and suffered through some of the stereotypical horror stories we all hear about, but in my experience, Pugi just isn't like that at all. My first purchase makes for a nice anecdote. Twice is no fluke. Pugi Mazda did not have the trim/color/interior combo in stock that I asked for, but they located one nearby and traded for it. I arrived on a Tuesday evening to complete the deal, and everything went great, just like the last time. I took delivery and drove the car home. The next day (Wednesday), while showing the car to a friend, I noticed a nasty dent right up against the sunroof that I had missed the night before. There metal was creased and the paint was chipped. Immediate dread. All I could hear in my head was "Uh oh..." (not quite the exact words I was thinking). I went straight back to the dealer, and there was much discussion and uncertainty as to what might've happened and the next course of action. I was insistent that the damage had not occurred in my possession, but even I could gather that while I was telling the truth, of course anyone would say that, regardless. The sales manager, Kiwon Kim, was very calm and very friendly, and offered to fix any and all damage. I replied that I didn't want a repaired car, I wanted a new, pristine one. We discussed that for awhile, and Mr Kim said he simply did not have the authority to approve it on his own. Further, the general manager was away on business and would not be available until Friday at the earliest (this was still Wednesday evening). The owner was currently out of the country altogether. The voices in my head all said "Uh oh..." (well, not quite). The next morning (Thursday), Mr Kim called back and told me that he'd spoken by phone with the general manager, and they were going to replace the car. I said, "Wow, really?!", and he repeated it, just as calm and warm and friendly as could possibly be. The only problem was that they couldn't find a car locally that exactly matched my purchase. There might be one up in Green Bay, or would I be willing to substitute another color. I asked him to please check on the one that matched. He replied that was no problem, but should it work out, would I be ok with the extra miles on the odometer after driving the car back to Chicagoland. I said no problem, he said he'd get back to me asap. Mr Kim called back within an hour to say that that the Green Bay dealer had actually traded that car to a dealer in the Chicago area, and I could have it that afternoon. Not only that, it had been transported by truck, no excess miles. Wow. I returned a few minutes after 4pm. The car was ready. Back into the finance office to nullify the old docs and sign new ones, swap the plates, move my stuff, and I was out the door in the new car by 5, without ever being asked to spend another dime. It wasn't even Friday yet. For me, more than what these good, kind people did, more than the obvious happy ending, was they way they did it. Openly, calmly, always positive. With smiles and good will all around. And let's face it, I'd given my ok, signed the docs, and accepted delivery two days prior. They could have stopped at the cosmetic fix. They could have simply hung me out to dry. They did neither. They went all the way, made it whole, made it right. I have never experienced a commitment to customer service and satisfaction on this level. Everyone involved all said the same thing, that commitment to the client is instilled in everyone there, from the top down. That their owner, Mr Dominic Pugliani, is just one of those rare, special individuals, and that it's contagious. I've seen him many times in different visits, and I have noticed that he looks you right in the eye, and he is always smiling. So I guess I'm a believer, it's not just Koolaid. I would like to specifically thank: Matt Goldstein, sales consultant Mike Kapak, finance manager Kiwon Kim, sales manager Mike Mizwicki, general manager Dominic Pugliani, president Each and every one of these fine people walk the walk. Thank you all for teaching me to never again paint all car dealers with one single broad brush. I hope I'm set for cars for the next several years. But should the need arise, the first place I will visit will be a Pugi dealership. Based on personal experience, I doubt I will find any need to visit a second. More
These Guys Go Above and Beyond! Best Car Buying Experience!! I want to Thank Matt Goldstein (sales consultant) and Mike Kabek (finance manager) @ Pugi Mazda in Downers Grove, IL. Matt Goldstein went above and I want to Thank Matt Goldstein (sales consultant) and Mike Kabek (finance manager) @ Pugi Mazda in Downers Grove, IL. Matt Goldstein went above and beyond all of my expectations! From the knowledgable information he shared with me about all the Mazda vehicles, test-drives and to meeting my needs on my trade in and giving me an amazing price on a brand new Mazda. There was NO pressure at all to purchase anything. In fact after our first test drive Matt asked me to take a day or so and think about the vehicle and the information he had shared with me. I left the dealership feeling like a friend was trying to help me :) Only to return a few hours later to purchase a new Mazda. Matt worked out an amazing price for me and met my trade in request no questions asked, throwing in discounts right and left! Thank you Matt Goldstein! I was then introduced to Mike Kabek (Finance Manager) Mike went over my credit with me and refused to give up until he had successfully gotten me approved for the best interest rate possible. Here is what Mike did for me... I am 25 years old and tend to jump from car to car having around 70K in loans over the past few years. With me being so young, lenders see this and don't want to lend me money. Mike refused to take no for an answer! He personally called the lender and discussed the situation, showing them that I have paid Back multiple loans for 30K+ never missing a payment. Once Mike had me approved for the loan, he didn't like the Interest rate the lender wanted so he had it practically cut in half!!! Long story short, Mike Kabek has been doing this longer than I have been alive and he knows what he is doing. Mike had me approved for my loan with an incredibly low APR. I don't know how to thank these guys enough! More
First Oil Change, new 2014 Mazda5 I'm not the greatest lover of going back to the original dealer for maintenance, but I needed my first oil change on my '14 Mazda5 minivan. I searche I'm not the greatest lover of going back to the original dealer for maintenance, but I needed my first oil change on my '14 Mazda5 minivan. I searched around and the recommended 0w20 synthetic oil was shockingly high at other oil change shops. So I just happened to check Pugi where I bought my minivan and they had a coupon that made it at least more palatable. Now I hate calling business phone systems, but somehow navigated my way through it. Also, they're not as convenient or fast as a closer oil change shop, but the service and extras (washed my car) as well check many of the important car systems made up for the extra travel and time limits of setting up an appointment. Coffee was available and my wait time was actually shorter than I expected. I'd strongly recommend Pugi Mazda for car buying and for car maintenance/service. Thanks Pugi for the great service. Also, I really love my minivan. More

I also want to mention how the whole staff was great Rich, Mike, Dominic, Anthony, and even the porter all of them fantastic! Efficient, professional, fair I don't love car shopping, so had done some research and knew what my criteria was (for car, price and experience). Pugi manager Mike confirmed what I I don't love car shopping, so had done some research and knew what my criteria was (for car, price and experience). Pugi manager Mike confirmed what I had read about the Mazda 3 and introduced me to Chris. I was on the road for a test drive in minutes in the model (hatchback)/package that would be identical to my purchase. "My" car was located at another dealer, so would need to be transferred. This was late Saturday afternoon over Labor Day weekend; I had my car by Tuesday. A great experience overall, and I love the car. More
