What a difference on the other side of the business. Service writers need to work on soft skills. My service writer might have had a long/bad/non-ideal day but as the customer I have no way of knowing t Service writers need to work on soft skills. My service writer might have had a long/bad/non-ideal day but as the customer I have no way of knowing that and as such I can only base my opinion on that one experience. I shouldn’t feel like an inconvenience to them for my being there. To be honest I’d rather have not needed to make the appointment but my car wasn’t performing as desired with only 600 miles, so I had to be there. I also don’t enjoy being talked down to like I’m an infant. I don’t need the queens English just talk to me like an adult just like you’d expect and LIKE to be talked to. This service department IS NOT LIKE CASTLE SALES. I will think long and hard before I return next time I need service, there are other Ford Dealers who like to do factory warranty work and change my oil. More
