I think one of the major reasons why i bought this vehicle, was due to the sales guy Ryan. He made us feel at home from the beginning. He was very honest in his answers and did would it took to close the deal. We drove from Wisconsin to visit another dealer that did not have half the friendliness and comfort, as this dealer. We will definitely make another hour drive, to visit with this dealership again. I also want to add, the sales guys have to buy the drinks you ask for. So don't waste there time or money. Thanks again Ryan. Justin More
I just recently purchased my brand new Chevy Cruze from Ryan. He is absolutely a joy to work with. Not only is he friendly, but he is also super helpful. He didn't place a ton of pressure on us to buy right away, which was nice. He worked out a terrific deal and I could tell he really cared about us. Ryan Sitter defies the negative stigma associated with car salesmen. I would highly recommend Ryan to anyone looking for a Chevy. Ryan is also very knowledgable about the cars. He showed me all of the bells and whistles of the car I was buying. Also, the Castle Difference is amazing! Free tires for life, free oil changes for life, and up to 2 free car washes a week! I just can not say enough great things about Ryan and this dealership. HIGHLY RECOMMEND! :) THANKS RYAN! More
Ivan was exceptional and met all my needs; he allowed me to take a lengthened test drive as I had to go to the airport and come back. I agreed to a certain offer which I know was lower than the dealership to take a lengthened test drive as I had to go to the airport and come back. I agreed to a certain offer which I know was lower than the dealership wanted (or needed) but Ivan was able to work on this figure and get me the lease deal on a new Camaro that I debated for 2 years in getting. The price and timing was right and I am very satisfied. I also like all the extras such as free oil changes and tires if maintained correctly. I would think that I will be buying again from Castle Chevrolet. More
Where do I start... A the beginning I suppose. I started this journey by visiting the web site for castle Chevrolet, upon arrival their I was greeted by a window inviting me to IM or speak with an "Internet this journey by visiting the web site for castle Chevrolet, upon arrival their I was greeted by a window inviting me to IM or speak with an "Internet sales associate". Shortly after the "Internet sales associate" and I were instant messaging regarding my interest in the very low prices shown on the website for the 2012 Chevy Traverse. I ended up asking for her to please figure out the absolute lowest number they would offer, period, and call me back, then I gave her my number, she said sure, and I left the computer. About 3 hours later I finally called her back because I hadn't heard from her, and she says, "I got tied up with a customer, I was just going to get that info! I'll get it and call you back. I said "great" I look forward to it. After calling me back and verifying the car I was interested in was still there, I asked again about getting their very bottom price. ( by the way everyone I wanted that info to see if the car was in my budget ) so what I write next is verbatim,.... She says " well I can GAURUNTEE $300.00 of the Internet price". So I say "and that's it?". And she says "well that, and these are 2012's, so the 2013's are here and they are willing to negotiate, THEY WILL WORK WITH YOU." "BUT YOU HAVE TO COME IN, IM NOT AUTHORIZED TO GIVE PRICING OVER THE PHONE". I said, "how about email" . (she didn't even chuckle) I was adamant about the lowest price because I knew what I had available to spend, so let's save us both the trouble get me that #, if it works out I'll be into buy it! :). But absolutely not, I HAD to go their, almost 50 miles round trip, but since the deal on the website was great, plus the $300.00, plus I was PROMISSED THAT THEY WOULD WORK FURTHER WITH THE PRICE, I thought this will be great, I'll drive a new car home tonight..... Well well well So after my arrival at the dealership, deception hits the fan: I ask for Oliva when I arrived, a member of the sales team went and got her for me, introductions were made, AND THEN.... I was passed off the Ryan Sitter.... Questions anyone? Here's the answer: Olivia isn't an actual sales anything, I'm glad the price of cars rises because they have to pay her, overhead is higher, prices go up.... Let's be honest the only 2 people you ever need at a dealership is the sales manager and a finance person. Anyway, after being handed to Ryan's incredibly incapable hands, I had to start over, explain what I wanted, listen to the garbage buzz words and sales techniques, and try to tell him here's my budget can you make it happen? Of course they won't work with me on numbers until my trade is valued...so they can mess with the numbers, even though I repeatedly asked to start the process, he kept dodging the deed. IMPORTANT NOTE: I HAD JUST TOLD HIM I WAS GAURUNTEED $300.00 OFF OF THE INTERNET PRICE, AND THAT THEY WOULD WORK WITH ME PAST THAT TO UNLOAD THE 2012 MODELS!!! Ryan left to get the "best possible price", comes back, the value of my trade in hand of course, sits down and starts to explain the pricing. Pay attention everybody, because what he says next gets good! He says "well it turns out the price on the Internet is the lowest price "we" can offer". I stopped him in his tracks and said " I literally JUST told you that Olivia GAURUNTEED me $300.00 off of the Internet price and that you would work with me further". I probably had a disgusted look on my face as he quickly backtracks and says, " oh yea, well that's great, if they told you that I have to honor it". Then I said " did you think I forgot ?" he had no answer. In further conversation about whether they would work further with the price as I was PROMISSED if I drove to the dealership, the answer was just NO! Also in reviewing the numbers with him he explained he took away the $750.00 rebate for being a military veteran....which I am not. Apparently the biggest percentage of buyers for Castle Chevrolet are all military veterans, so they just throw that rebate on the Internet pricing because that's what MAKES THE MOST SENSE! Sarcasm everybody..... At that point I explained the reasons (written above) to Ryan regarding why I felt deceived and lied to by the dealership, I told him that the sales and "Internet sales" teams should be on the same page. I made a point to explain that if given the price over the phone like I originally asked I could have spared us both the hassle, in particular me driving 50 miles in a truck that gets 10 miles to the gallon. At that point I stood up and said, "please get me my keys". Unbelievably....he stayed seated still trying to wade through his own garbage and blatant lies, to which I responded, " go get my truck keys now." the reason I didn't have them is because dealerships hold them hostage in anticipation that they can get you sold that visit. Anyway... He literally said "fine" and stood up and stomped over to the counter like a 6 year old kid denied candy by his parents at a grocery store check out lane. As he stomped back I held out my hand and said "thank you for your time" as he rolled by with zero eye contact. I was going to leave, but thought I should explain my dissatisfaction to a sales manager, who through the obvious lies I was told said " well I can see the miscommunication.". ARE YOU KIDDING ME! It was not a miscommunication, it was lies from the second I got on the Internet! BLATANT LIES! I even told the sales mngr that I wasn't going to review it online and I'm not like that, and I'm really not, I never have! But, after stewing for this long and still feeling lied to and deceived I decided I would write the review to spare others my fate. The online deals are absolute falsehoods, so much fine print it crazy, the interest rate to rebate deals are terrible once you get their, 4.9 % on cars they won't work on leaves you with payments in the mid fives (550.00 give or take) which was well out of my range. A FACT I WOULD HAVE KNOWN IF GIVEN THE PRICE AND INTEREST RATE BEFORE DRIVING THROUGH 50 MILES OF RUSH HOUR TRAFFIC IN VILLA PARK! Here is the kicker, called Dan Wolf Chevy, said give me your lowest price, no trade in, $2500.00 cash down, what can you do for me? He called me back in under 5 minutes, 2.9%, brand new comprobly featured and priced vehicle, $600.00 below dealer invoice ....... $405.00 a month out the door! I am possitive my response explains why I am dissatisfied and am giving Castle Chevrolet in Villa Park, IL a poor review. We will see if this gets posted or not. If the dealership has questions or concerns and wants to validate the authenticity of these claims, they can feel free to call me, I would be happy to sit down with Olivia, Ryan, and the sales manager I spoke with regarding anything they want. The bottom line is I would never buy a vehicle at that establishment, I would take one if they want to give it to me, but I wouldn't buy a bar of solid gold for a buck from Ryan Sitter. Both Olivia and Ryan have my cell phone #, I am also in your Internet data base. Look me up and call if you want, I would love to chat with someone that actually cares about customer service.
