Hi Leann. We apologize for any miscommunication or frustration with our team. When negative equity is added into a buying process, it can change the loan total. However, it does not not change the car value or sale price. Your vehicle of interest is still at the original sale price, but we do have to rope the negative equity, down payment preference, approved APR, and other fees including tax, title, and license into a new loan which brings it to that $30k total you mentioned. We do our best to assist all customers in all buying circumstances. We apologize that we were unable to assist you and for your negative experience at our dealership.
