Get Jerked Around So, went to Casey Chevrolet to look at a used Nissan Rogue. The car stunk and wasn't cleaned up very well. I have an OBD II reader so I checked the c So, went to Casey Chevrolet to look at a used Nissan Rogue. The car stunk and wasn't cleaned up very well. I have an OBD II reader so I checked the codes, it had one for a throttle position issue. They brag about their 150 point preowned inspection, well, was it done or not? So, we decided to go look at a Volkswagen Jetta instead. We took the Rogue and salesman over to the Volkswagen lot, drove the Jetta and decided to buy the vehicle. The buying process went so slow. I was paying cash, so naturally you would think the process would go faster, well nope! We had two issues with the car, a tire pressure light and also the seat belt didn't lock correctly, a safety issue in my eyes. I left the vehicle with them for two days to fix both issues. My kid picked up the car on the third day, I was unable to go with him. They didn't fix the seat belt. Our agreement (documented on paper) was that they were to replace the bad seat belt receptacle, they did not. The salesman told my kid to bring the car back the next day for repairs. Really? So, I took the car back Saturday, got jerked around with their service department, then got told to go to the Volkswagen service department to get this resolved. Took the salesman over there, sat around for another hour while they looked at it. They tell me they are going to order the new part and to bring back the car Monday morning. Meanwhile, we go home. I check the oil and it is dark black and smelled bad. The dealer said they took car of this stuff when I bought it. No sticker in the window saying the oil was changed, the Carfax listed the oil change about 7,000 miles ago, hold crap! I went to the Volkswagen dealer again and talked to the service guys to see what their system said about the service records for the car. The guy told me there wasn't any record of it in their system. Really? They didn't even service the car before they put it on the lot? Wow! So, I told them to change the oil when it went in for the seat belt repairs, and they did. Next problem was no spare key. I had been in contact with the salesman about the issue. He told me it had a spare the night I bought it, but he never gave me the spare. I followed up with him twice and never got anywhere. Over a week ago I went to the dealer website and did the contact the dealer form requesting to talk to a manager. Still haven't heard form Casey. Casey owes me a spare key. Horrible buying experience all around. I can't stand it when people waste my time. Casey seemed ok with not helping me out. This is the second car I have bought from Casey, I won't go there again! More
