Carville's Auto Mart responded

Carville's Auto Mart said on 07/24/2018 03:05 PM (Private Message) Kauzi, please call us at the dealership and hear what really transpired with Samantha's Jeep. I spoke with the mechanic Jeff who looked at the Jeep on a Sunday and he said that the only issue was the tie rod was loose. It is normal for a bushing to be worn at 142,000 miles and yes it had a little more play than the passenger side which is why we offered to repaired it at no cost to here even thou she had already had the Jeep for 5 months and put 3222 miles on it since she bought it. This is a simple $25 retail part and 30 min. labor. and she did have an appointment scheduled for the 9th which she cancelled and choose to voluntarily repossess the vehicle she was 8 days past due on. In fact we also helped her when she said she smelt a burning oil smell. We could not find the oil leak and sent it to Shrums to determine where it was coming from. We paid $600 to Shrums to repair small oil leak they found in the oil pan again at no cost to her. So please before you write a review, know the facts. We have offered or done all repairs she has asked, and the vehicle was fully inspected at Shrums Automotive at the time of sale and Samatha does have a copy of the inspection report. It is not possible to say that the tie rod was in that same condition 3222 miles ago when she bought it, but regardless we had it schedule to replace it for her at no cost. Talk with someone who really knows our dealership and you will find that we do more for our customers than any other dealership would. You may just not really be getting the real facts from Samantha who's only want was just get all of her money back on the car she has had for 5 months.

Samantha, in no way was Steve pushy in asking for you to share your story in how he helped you get into a vehicle after you just let your Nissan Titan repossess. Steve worked very hard to help you get into the 2005 Jeep Liberty due to your current employment situation and poor credit and by asking you to share his hard work with others is not a reason to attack him. As far as the rest of your issues you are having we would appreciate it if you could tell the truth rather than embellish stories because you think social media is great avenue to get what you want. In fact we have done everything you asked up to the point when you asked for all your money back after you had the vehicle for 5 months and put 3222 miles on it and were 8 days past due on your loan with the buy here pay here bank. Starting with the fact you took it to Dodge, Jeep, Ram to have an inspection done which is false. The vehicle was never inspected at a service center or repair facility but an acquaintance of yours on a Sunday who works at Dodge. I spoke with this individual who came to the dealership to meet with me and only stated that the tie rod was loose because the bushing was worn and the Jeep had no other issues that he felt needed to be addressed . It was not broken or going to break but just normal wear for a 142,000 mile vehicle. In fact when you ask about the tie rod in Matt's office he offered to repair the $25 retail part which is only takes less than 30 min to install even after you had already put 3222 miles on it, I feel this is pretty good customer service on his part. Yes, Samantha we do send out are vehicles for safety inspections to a very reputable repair facility that has a full ASE certified staff as well has being in business in the valley for over 50 years at Shrums Automotive. Due the amount of cars we sell we cannot keep up with the inspections and all inspection sheets are available which you do have a copy of showing a A rating score card. This cost much more than doing in house inspections and if there were any issues at the time when you purchased it I can ensure that Shrums would have found them for they only profit more by the work that they do during those inspections. We also helped you when you had already put 2197 miles on it when you asked about a burning oil smell. We could not find any oil leak so we sent it to Shrums to be inspected where they did find a small leak coming from the oil pan. We paid $600 to Shrums to have this repaired for you at no cost to you. So I don't understand how you have been taken advantage of being we have repair or offered to repair all issues you have had with the vehicle which were only minor maintenance items. Also if you approached things differently you may have a different response to your needs. You cannot just come to the dealership and demand to speak with a general manager without an appointment in the busiest part of the day and pace outside his window knowing he is currently working with other customers. Then when he makes the time for you only make an outlandish scene threatening with lawyers if he didn't give you all your money back. Again this after you had the vehicle for 5 months and 3222 miles and have done no maintenance yourself. He did offer to repair the vehicle but you cancelled the appointment set on the 9th of July to have it repaired and choose to voluntarily repossess the vehicle that you were already 8 days past due on. Samantha I wish the best of luck to you but being the vehicle is now repossessed there is nothing Carville’s Auto Mart can do to help you.
