This is the first new vehicle my wife and I have purchased sense 2007. We had a good experience with Carver Toyota of Columbus. If I could give zero stars, I would. I purchased a $54,000 dollar vehicle which within 3 months started leaking coolant. I took the vehicle to my local land rover dealer and they said I I purchased a $54,000 dollar vehicle which within 3 months started leaking coolant. I took the vehicle to my local land rover dealer and they said I had an accessory radiator leak and needed a 4 wheel brake job as the rear brake pads were at 4mm and the front at 3mm. I called Carver Toyota early in the morning and was told a manager would call me back. Noone returned the call and I called back and spoke with Stephen Turner who looked up the inspection in the vehicle which showed all wheels were at 4mm. The standard for replacement. I sent the brake estimate and a video from the repairman and was never called back. I became proactive and contacted the general manager through LinkedIn and received a call from the service manager the next morning. He told me he would investigate what the expectations were during the deal and get back to me. Je never contacted me and I called back to leave a message for a status update. I still received no response and sent another message to the general manager for further assistance. The second manager who never contacted me called me at 4ish pm my time to say there was nothing they could do and what did I expect. I told them I expected to buy a vehicle with no issues and would never have purchased the vehicle had I known it needed a complete brake job. At this point, I'm clearly frustrated as he said the brake estimate for a jaguar f pace svr was ridiculously high. He then admonished me for contacting the general manager through her personal email. All I wanted was the brakes fixed as they should have been prior to me spending around 68,000 in total for the vehicle and extended warranty. I want every buyer and especially those from out of state to BEWARE if this dealership as they are unscrupulous and unprofessional. I will continue to try and prevent this disservice from happening to anyone else. More
My comment is regarding documented service. I asked that the spare tire be checked out. There was no mention of this on the service document nor from the service person leaving me to question i I asked that the spare tire be checked out. The spare stored under the car is more or less forgotten until it is needed. I've had an issue with bolts not tightened when the tires were rotated by the service department. I almost lost a tire at 70 miles an hour on a trip two days after service. Just wanted assurance that the spare had been looked at and is ready when we need it. Otherwise the service was great. More
Both Carver in general, and Jalen specifically, were responsive, but not pushy. They did a great job of answering our initial questions before we made the trip to go see the car we were interested in, a responsive, but not pushy.
