That said, I rated the dealership overall at 3/5 stars as I feel there was an attempt by the financing department to increase the interest rate on my loan by 100bps immediately prior to signing. When I pushed finance on this, there was suddenly / miraculously a deal being offered by Chase which brought my rate down to what was originally communicated for me (for what was assumed to be my credit rating). This move by finance is something I will openly share with any potential buyer who inquiries about my experience at Carter. More
