We did make a mistake on how we represented the coverage offered by xlilon, and our wheel and tire coverage policy. At the time we were discussing the coverage and benefits our client had agreed to purchase them both and the information we had given her was accurate, the problem came about when she decided to only purchase the wheel and tire coverage when what was most important to her was the coverage offered by the xilon policy. Once we were made aware of the miscommunication we offered to give her the coverage that she was expecting at the same cost, (which was a very large discount). This is what caused the need to do the paperwork again, which we apologized for, and were embarrassed by. Once I was made aware of the mistake we had made we offered phone message, and e mail messages attempting to explain the mistake, and ensure the client it was not something "sneaky" . We are ( and I am especially) bummed out , that our client left here thinking we intentionally harmed her in some way. I did misrepresent the product, but it was an honest mistake that we feel we made up for . I also discovered two policies on here trade in vehicle that she would have been otherwise unaware of , that I advised her on the cancellation practices so she could get a refund on the unused portion. In regards to us making a claim for her on her trade in vehicle, there are two issues with that. 1st the policy is not transferable to the non selling dealership, and second there are no less than 5 different policies, and only one type covers wheel curb damage. I do not recall seeing the actual policy she had, rather we only identified from her bill of sale that she had bought some type of coverage and advised her to contact the selling dealership for her prorated refund. I made a mistake, it was an honest mistake, and we have made a monetary concession to "make it right" and I have made multiple attempts to contact the client after seeing her comments, again we apologize for the mix up. This transaction was not fun for us either, which is why we decided it was best to walk away from. The client had several figures that they had asked our sales consultant to consider as offers and counter offers on a vehicle purchase. Most of these figures we either discussed over the phone or via a text message chain which although they allowed us to read, still did not support their assertions. I regret that they felt poorly treated, I did not intend to make them upset. I spent over an hour with them, and during that time they were very aggressive, demanding, threatening and upset. I apologized for the mix up, and worked hard to make the situation right, fair and transparent. That was not enough for them and so we agreed to disagree… or so they told me when they were here. Again, I will offer my apologies for our part of the confusion, and I am sorry you feel the way you do about the event. Brodie Ryan.
