Ben listened to my needs however odd they were and made sure he found me a few cars within my budget. After test driving them, Ben's genuine enthusiasm over the perfect functions of the car that fits my mountaineering hobby made it super easy to pick the right car. Nick made the financial transaction easy and painless. Overall, a very good car buying experience where one is treated with direct human interractions and none of the fake hassle I was expecting. Highly recommended. More
No after purchase support I learned my lesson not buying local. Being from the coast in Oregon we have few options, so after hours or research I settled on a used Chevy Travers I learned my lesson not buying local. Being from the coast in Oregon we have few options, so after hours or research I settled on a used Chevy Traverse that I found through Cars.com. The interactions with the salesmen was pretty good, didn't feel pressured into the car, but after the usual 2-3 hour grind that is car buying, we were ready to get out of there- especially considering we had our 4 and 6 year old with us. During the test drive the radio went wonky a few times, switching between the Aux and radio- we asked the salesman and the auto shop about it, and didn't really get any answers- but we though- oh well, it's just the radio. The negotiations went pretty well, but I feel I got super screwed on the trade in; I had divulged that the car was in a small accident that only required body repairs, but they used that to justify an incredibly low trade in, especially consider I saw my car for sale for 8x what they gave me! I understand trade in is never great, but definitely got screwed there; I know that's 100% my fault and I should have negotiated harder, but hopefully this will prepare someone else in the future. After we drove the car home is when the problems started... two months after buying it there was an electronic issue that fried some circuits- literally sparks, that shutdown all the driver info, i.e. speedometer, tachometer, etc in the front console. It cost us $500 to repair just to see how fast we were going and if there was any fuel left. That same issue blew the motor to the trunk/lift gate. We were without the use of our trunk, and it would have cost another $500.00 Every time we drove, practically since we got home from Portland after buying it, there was an awful squeaking/squealing noise coming from the front tire axles, especially at lower speeds and when the axle is anything but straight. The final straw came as we were driving on Hwy 26 in Portland after our 4 year olds tonsillectomy there was a "ding" sound, and all of a sudden I got a bunch of warnings- "Stabiltrack off, needs service" "All wheel drive off" "service traction" and the ABS light came on. I was worried that this will cost another hundred of dollars to fix! With all these issues I reached out to the original salesman to see if we had any options; He never responded to me, but I got a text and call from the sales manager giving me lip-service about how they would make it right, and they'd get us into something nicer or see what they could do to fix it. So I called him back and asked if we could talk via email- I sent an email to him immediately and NEVER heard back. When he was on the phone with me he discussed trading it in.... Having not heard back from him there was no way I was gonna pursue working with Carr again, and NO WAY was I going to give them business twice. We ultimately ended up trading it in, for an EXTREMELY fair price at our local Kia dealer in Warrenton, where we had a great experience and now have a new Kia Sorento. Tl/Dr: Carr was an OK buying experience, but be prepared to spend a lot of time, and don't be afraid to negotiate. However, don't expect ANY support at all after the car buying experience. I know that everything is on the buyer when you buy a used car, but the level of service I received was abysmal, and will only shop local from here on out More

We have loved driving an electric car, but didn’t think we could afford a new Bolt. It turned out that Carr had lease specials on the Bolt which brought the price down far enough that we could swing it. We’re now enjoying our brand new beautiful white 2019 Bolt! More

Leo, Nick and John at Carr Chevy in Portland handled the transaction flawlessly. We were surprising my daughter that lives in Portland. All she had to do was sign the paperwork upon arrival. Everything was ready and good to go. Even though the car was new, they detailed it and took her on a long test drive to show her all the features of the car. She was shocked! She thought it was an April Fools gag since it happened on 4/1. Everyone at the Dealership was very helpful and kind in person when she arrived. I test drove a similar car in Seattle, then called Leo after finding it on their website. The incentive offers were excellent, but expired the same night. Within a couple hours from the first phone call the car was hers! This Chevy Sonic will be the perfect first car. Best Ever Car Buying Experience! I have purchased 11 cars so I definitely have several transactions to compare it to. So grateful to the entire Carr Chevy team!! Highly recommend! More
