Took forever I liked the car, told them I wanted it and was willing to pay the asking price (already low enough). Asked if we would be out of there by 1:30 as I ha I liked the car, told them I wanted it and was willing to pay the asking price (already low enough). Asked if we would be out of there by 1:30 as I had other commitments (we arrived at 10:30) we didnt get out of there until 3:30. I said well since you didn't give me the correct timeline to get out of here and I'm now late could you at least fill my tank up. They said no. It was a pickup and the tank was left on empty. Usually it's pretty standard to do for a purchase, apparently Carr Chevrolet works differently. I spent 21,000 and paid their price. I didnt negotiate at all because I like the current price and just wanted to get out. Then because the car came with a lifetime powertrain warranty some dude goes in the back and tries to sell me another warranty that covers computers. I told him just give me the keys. Overall the truck I bought I enjoy, but the employees at Carr Chevrolet take their sweet xxx time on everything they do and don't understand the needs of the customer. My wife will be looking at an SUV in about 2 years. I know where she will NOT be shopping for one. More
Pleasant and Respectrul I worked with Jesse on the phone. He was able to locate the vehicle and answer questions on the phone regarding sale price, offers, rebates, and finance accurately and timely. I told Jesse when I expected to be in. He provided a follow up call to confirm. He met me at the dealership, brought out the truck I was interested in on the internet as well as showed me a couple others that met my criteria. Jesse was able to sell me the truck at the sale price as well as give me the trade in value I researched prior to my arrival. Jesse was friendly and personable without being "full of it" as we worked though the sale. Jesse has answered a few questions I had following the sale. I enjoyed working with Jesse and would recommend him highly. Carr financing folks were good in that the presented all the option for warrantee extension without to much pleasure. Again, a good experience. More
Awful. I was looking for a Volt with adaptive cruise control. I'd been working with Alex Pechenik for a few months (car buying's a big decision so I take my I was looking for a Volt with adaptive cruise control. I'd been working with Alex Pechenik for a few months (car buying's a big decision so I take my time on it). Carr had a black one in stock for awhile. I inquired more about pricing as Memorial Day approached and made an appointment for yesterday. I went in with my checkbook and loan approval. I took it for an extended test drive and wasn't 100% on the seats. Because of that I test drove some other options on the lot to compare it to. I ended up deciding on the black one I originally came in for. However, while I was doing that they sold the one I came for to someone else. That's right...the car I'd been looking at for awhile, that I had an appointment for, that I was ready to buy, was sold to some rando who walked in off the street WHILE I WAS STILL AT THE DEALERSHIP LOOKING AT IT. After they did it, their entire demeanor changed. They treated me like I was a nobody wasting their time. And since GM stopped building Volts, there aren't any left with that color or equipment. There was no apology or anything - just an offhand comment that the Attorney General would get on their case if they reserved cars. Really??? Setting aside the fact other dealerships will hold a car, or the fact CarMax lets you place 3-day holds on any vehicle on their website, I wasn't reserving a car. I was at the dealership finally ready to buy. I'd come in with an appointment on that specific car and had driven it an hour earlier. It's the equivalent of taking an item out of a customer's shopping cart to sell it to someone else, then telling that first customer sorry - that item's no longer available. No retail outlet would ever survive if they did things this way, but nobody bats an eye at car dealerships pulling this crap. I've been given the run-around at dealerships before, but I have *NEVER* left a dealership this upset or embarrassed. Never. Carr puts on a good show, but at the end of the day they're snakes just like the rest of them. More

Not once did we feel rushed or pressured in to a quick sale, Ben was sure that we understood what was going on and were comfortable with the options.
