I’ve previously worked with VW of Carolina, Hendrick, and VW of South Charlotte for precious car purchases- Ben was hands down the best associate I’ve encountered. I never felt he was ‘selling’ or working toward any other agenda than mine. He is a great listener, translated my needs, and gave me a better offer package than any other dealer. He is highly professional and represents the VW and Renaldo family well. He was extremely knowledgeable and took the time to point out additional features and options. Ruined my rear window “Their” detail guy destroyed my window defrosters while my car was being serviced and they told me to kick rocks. I took my car in for an oil change “Their” detail guy destroyed my window defrosters while my car was being serviced and they told me to kick rocks. I took my car in for an oil change and it’s first NC inspection. They said the window tints wouldn’t pass but “their” detail guy could remove them for a fee. I agreed so that I wouldn’t damage the rear window defrosters. I spent hours at the dealership waiting for them to finish. I finally get called into the back of their garage and told that the detail guy was having a hard time with the removal. Their VW mechanic said I wasn’t going to be charged because the detail guy took all day and didn’t finish the job but they passed my car’s inspection. I agreed and left because after half the day I had had enough. A few days later I try to defog my back window and only one zigzag stripe works. I reach out to the dealer and try to get it fixed and they say the dealership didn’t remove the tint so they are not responsible. Worst customer service I have ever experienced. They recommended a service, had it performed on their property, in their garage, but refuse to take responsibility for the damage. More

Easiest buying process EVER I had recently been in a car accident and needed to find a car. I LOVED my car from before and was scared I wouldn't be able to find anything like it. I had been to just about every dealership in the area before I realized I had never once looked at a Volkswagen. So I drove down to Carolina Volkswagen whole heartedly expecting to be treated as I was at every other dealership. Being a 20-something girl somehow made every salesman feel entitled to speaking over me, pushing me to make decisions and asking me "when can your dad come down". Granted I needed my dad to look at it and make sure I wasnt getting screwed somehow. But that wasn't the case with Ben. He gave me my space, was knowledgeable so I felt comfortable asking him questions I thought were entry-level. Not afraid to feel dumb for asking anything. It's because of Ben that I took the time to love a car as much as I had loved my past one. He's the sole reason I bought a car from Carolina Volkswagen. Venice assured me that the car I was interested would be ready to see when I arrived, and it was. My salesperson, Richard Albino was professional, knowledgeable, friendly and he went out of his way to make sure all my questions were answered (and I had many). The finance manager, Joel Handschin was amazing. His knowledge and enthusiasm to make sure I was satisfied with my load was exceptional. The entire team is friendly and helpful, I could continue with the accolades, but that would take away from all the wonderful, amazing experiences you will have when you purchase your next vehicle.
