I originally came to this dealership with the intent to look only, to get ideas of what kind of car I might want. I didn’t want to shop at any dealership because I’d had so many poor experiences with each look only, to get ideas of what kind of car I might want. I didn’t want to shop at any dealership because I’d had so many poor experiences with each of my vehicles prior. But when Drew approached me and my best friend in the parking lot with kindness and understanding, I had a feeling this experience would be a lot better than all of the others before. I had a budget set in my mind and had done tons of research to understand what I could or could not afford for a monthly payment, and the folks here were actually very respectful of that and didn’t try to push my financial boundaries. Drew answered all of our questions and went above and beyond my expectations. I don’t think I’ve ever laughed and had so much fun during a car sale before, and I’ve owned or leased 6 or 7 cars at this point in my life. Thank you to Drew and Chris and Sean for making this purchase so worthwhile and painless. I’ll definitely return whenever I’m ready for another car in the future, and I’ll be recommending all of my friends check this dealership out. More

Since I am still looking for a car, I was intrigued when Carolina Volkswagon reached out to me and told me about their end-of-the-month sale. Going against my gut instinct telling me this was another sham, Carolina Volkswagon reached out to me and told me about their end-of-the-month sale. Going against my gut instinct telling me this was another sham, I gave them a second chance. Unfortunately, my instinct was right. For the second time in less than a month, I was brought into a web of lies, deceit, and trickery. Realizing my previous experience, I was upfront with them. I told them that due to the high APR rates if you finance through their lenders, I decided to go with outside financing through the credit union for an auto loan up to $20,000 and wanted to stay within that amount. Then, I asked if they had any reasonable cars within that price range. They told me that they had several vehicles within my price range. Specifically, they had at least five new Jettas, fresh off the truck, within that price range. Fifteen text messages later, I arrived to buy my new Jetta! Upon my arrival, I asked for the person who had been texting me. When he came to greet me, he informed me that he was not the person texting me and had no idea that I was still in the market for a car. Though shocked, I was still excited about buying a new car. Shortly after being told that an unknown person at the dealership had been texting me, I was informed that the new Jettas referenced within the text messages did not exist. Instead, there was only 1 Jetta that fit within my price range. This Jetta was an almost 5-year-old car, had 80,000 miles on it, and was covered in scratches and a strange white substance. Needless to say, I was very disappointed. Today’s experience reminded me of the evil within the car-selling industry. Some dealers will lie, engage in false advertisements, pretend to be someone they are not, and do other unethical things to get you in the door. Then, once you arrive, bombard you with lies, misinformation, and options you will regret if pursued. These are the types of people that I warn my students about. Carolina Volkswagon: shame on you. This was the best car buying experience I have ever had! My sales associate Craig was amazing! He listened to my needs and showed me exactly what I asked for. I never once felt pushed or rushed to make a decision. The finance department made the process fast and easy to understand. I love my new 2023 Tiguan! This dealership has a lot to work on. First and foremost, integrity. I purchased a used vehicle from them 3 weeks ago. A "certified pre owned" vehicle. I should have known it was going to be a horrible experience when they didn't show me the deal until it was on the contract. The price was close enough to what I was willing to spend so I proceeded. I got into the car once I completed the paperwork and the gas tank was not filled up!! Really? Are they hurting that bad for money at this place. It had been 4 hours so I once again sucked it up and just drove off. As I drive off, the wheel begins to make a loud humming noise. I explained the noise to the salesman Richard Albino, and his response is "Well all VW's tend to make that noise over time." What an insult. Two weeks later, my vehicle wont start. Tons of corrosion all over the battery and wires. I limped the vehicle back to the dealership only for them to replace the battery and "listen for the noise." I received a call from Danny the sales manager and from Hailey the service advisor letting me know that the noise was heard but they are going to "chalk it up as surface rust." I read the service paperwork that claims "unable to replicate issue at this time." WOW. So needless to say, this dealership will take your money and bold face lie to you and lie on documentation. Stay as far away as possible!! DO NOT BUY A CAR FROM THEM!! More
Took my Passat for a simple oil change last week- they were on time (told me it would take an hour and it did). The lady checking me in was awesome (Haley) and I loved receiving a text message with a vid were on time (told me it would take an hour and it did). However, we purchased a used Audi Q7 that had no owner's manual and we were promised to receive one once ou place...our buying experience was great.
