Great buying experience! We were able to take the car home for a few days to test it out before making any decisions. At the beginning of 2020, I had my check engine light come on, and after checking with a local auto-parts store, it was something that need to be taken to the dealership. I called on Thursday to make an come on, and after checking with a local auto-parts store, it was something that need to be taken to the dealership. I called on Thursday to make an appointment, and the earliest they could schedule me was the next Tuesday. I took the day off from work and went to Carman at 8:00 AM in the morning. By 10:00AM, they still hadn't started work on it, so they offered to take me home on their shuttle and pick me up when it was done. At 4PM, I called and they STILL had not started working on it. They asked to keep it overnight, and I told them I needed to get to work the next morning. Although they were sending other customers to Enterprise Rent-A-Car for "loaners" , they didn't give me that option, so they offered to come pick me up. I ended up getting it fixed, under warranty, at a Ford dealership/service. They made me wait almost a week for an appointment, kept the car all day, and never worked on it. They also threw the shuttle-bus driver under the bus - while taking me home, 30 miles in the opposite direction of Wilmington, they told him he needed to pick someone up in Wilmington in the next five minutes so she could pick-up her vehicle before the body shop closed. When he said there was no way he could get to Wilmington before the body-shop closed, they told him, "then you have to call her and tell her why she won't get her car today." Considering all his directions/pickups/drop-offs, etc., came from a dispatcher at Carman (I listened to numerous conversations between the driver and the dispatcher, both in the morning and in the afternoon), why is it his fault/responsibility when someone can't get their car? I recently was transferring some boards from Loew's and one slid forward and cracked my rear-view mirror screen. When I called Carman to see how much it would cost, they "couldn't answer that" until they new what the part number for the screen was. They wanted me to pay $139 for a service call just so they could take the dash apart and get a part number. Seriously??? I went back to the dealership I bought the vehicle from (in PA, 90 miles from my home), and asked them about replacing the screen. They told me it would cost $880 all total, and they would order the part immediately (they already knew what the part number was!), and would call me when the part came in, in order to schedule the service. It took three weeks and I had to call them, but we did get it done. Carman Sales may be good, but their Service sucks! I would definitely NOT recommend them! More
