Somehow, well doing something they snapped something with the transmission. They refused to tape responsibility. They wanted to charge us $700 to fix what they broke. Had to call the state police. They broke our vehicle and tried to blame us. Will never ever recommend this dealership. They kicked my husband the dealership and told him to call a tow truck and take the car elsewhere. More
ER DODGE JEEP! On at least 4 occasions, I brought my 2017 Ram Longhorn in for a failure of my air suspension system. My truck lowers completely down to its lowest p On at least 4 occasions, I brought my 2017 Ram Longhorn in for a failure of my air suspension system. My truck lowers completely down to its lowest point, giving a ride similar to driving a fork truck down the road. This began to happen approximately 4 months prior to my extended warranty running out. A number of major and expensive parts were changed and supposedly numerous troubleshooting tests were performed to no avail. I asked the service team to escalate this problem to their STAR (engineering group). They refused to follow up in this way telling me that STAR usually recommends things that they know how to figure out on their own. Ego and pride prevented them to do the right thing costing me physical anguish, since I suffer with sever scoliosis and disc damage in my lower lumbar. With me having the same problem within hours of leaving the dealership every time, they told me that they could contact a regional field rep to come in to troubleshoot. I called them for additional info as to when I could have this person troubleshoot my truck only to be told that this support tech will not work on vehicles over 3 years old. Additional visits and additional unnecessary parts were put on my truck, wasting money and time in an attempt to get more money from my warranty company. I eventually took my truck to another Dodge dealership in Pennsylvania, where within 3 hrs of them working on my truck they looked at the air suspension bags only to find my driver-side rear suspension air bag had a number of leaks. When I notified Carman Dodge of the other dealership's findings, they told me that this issue had to have started after my last (unresolved) service visit with them. You would think that they would gladly make the repair after their misdiagnoThe service manager, Steve Martino, more or less called me a liar and stated that since he had a long-standing relationship with his technician, he was honest and I was not. He initially stated that I had to pay for the repair, then he later turned around and said they'll do the labor if I BUY THE PARTS. No way with the parts costing $1300.00! The audacity that this dealership has shown me has prompted me to write this email. If you care at all about your money or vehicle, DON'T COME WITHIN MILES OF CARMAN CHRYSLER JEEP DODGE! This Dealer is Horrible! I'm the owner of 4 Dodge vehicles and am new to the New Castle County area. I brought my Durango in for an oil change and tire rotation. The first I'm the owner of 4 Dodge vehicles and am new to the New Castle County area. I brought my Durango in for an oil change and tire rotation. The first bad vibe was, as I pulled into the service door with my vehicle, I noticed the mess all over the bay floor. I then spoke with the advisor and let him know that I would like to drop my Durango off for an oil change and rotation. He first proceeded to say how busy they were with work, which I was completely ok with. The truck could've sat at the dealer for a week or two if need be. The advisor began to take my information and then said "We are not allowed to take in new customers if you never had any service done here before" He also stated they were extremely backed up on big transmission jobs. My question to him was "so the same technician who does transmission repairs do your oil changes and rotations"? He proceeded to say "the last advisor who took in a new customer was in trouble with management for doing so" As a 15-year employee for a very reputable heavy-duty truck dealership group (service manager). I would NEVER tell any customer I can not take in their vehicle no matter what the repair is! I left Carman's service department and brought my truck to Hertrich where they took it right in without any issues. I've purchased multiple new, used vehicles from Dodge dealers. I've used multiple dealers for parts and services. This dealer will NEVER see a cent of my money! My advice to anyone looking for a Dodge dealer in the New Castle County area would be to avoid Carman Chrysler Jeep Dodge at all costs! More

Tony claims he didn't know i wanted the oil change even through that was the orgin on a Saturday, waited two hours and they never did the oil change. Tony claims he didn't know i wanted the oil change even through that was the orginal service made. Had to make another appointment talked to Tony who was behind the desk sat he ended up refusing to do my service bc I said they had been at fault for me having to come back. Tony has been very rude to me in the past as well. I will NEVER buy a vehicle from them with a poor service manager and department! Inside sales was always great shame the service department isn't the same. More
I recently traded in my 2013 Dodge Citadel for a certified 2018 Dodge Durango Citadel from Carman Dodge. In my first 30 days I have now taken my certified truck back to the Carman Dodge service depa certified 2018 Dodge Durango Citadel from Carman Dodge. In my first 30 days I have now taken my certified truck back to the Carman Dodge service department three times and once to Firestone for service. Starting with the 2nd day after buying the truck. Then 9 days after that, (as the service department didn’t give me an expedited appointment), this was after telling them I just bought the vehicle two days prior. Great customer service. The problem, severe front-end vibration over 55 mph, significant left steering wheel pull. So what happened? Carmen Dodge service department balanced the wheels and performed a wheel alignment. The severe vibration was gone, the left wheel pull was still there, still significant. I didn’t go a mile before turning around and bringing the vehicle back to the service department – 5 minutes. And once again more fast talking from the front-end sales manager and the service manager – bring the vehicle back and they would check it out again. Another 7 day wait. In the meantime, Based off my conversation with the service manager, I lost trust in Carman Dodge Service team. So, I took the truck to Firestone. The alignment was off, I paid for a lifetime alignment and a complete 50-point vehicle inspection. Oh from the inspection I learned I am going need tires before the winter. So what happened when I took the truck back to Carman Dodge for the 5th time. I dropped it off at 10am and was called to pick it up at 3:30pm. I was told they did an alignment and 20 a point check. That was a huh moment and a why moment. One Carman Dodge did this on a certified vehicle I bought from them 30 days before. I never told them I paid for alignment, and had the paperwork to show what was done, including the 50-point vehicle check. Needlessly to say, the truck still pulls and is a difficult to drive. Bottom line is Carman Dodge service did nothing to fix the problem. Carman Dodge never took my comments about the steering and the pulling seriously. Never checked the steering or the left axle where the pull was coming from. They never test drove the vehicle to confirm my customer complaint or to see if whatever they did fixed the problem. They performed three alignments, balanced the tires, and performed a vehicle inspection. As a long-time service advisor my question is why? The question now is what I am going to do next. Carman Dodge has shown they can’t be trusted and their claims regarding certified vehicles and standing behind what they sale is just advertisement b.s.. Will Carman Dodge give me an equal replacement? Who knows. I know I am not going back to that service department again. More
