Mr. Strawther, you purchased the 2008 Lexus LS600h on 04/23/2018 The vehicle had apporx 105k miles on it when you left the dealership. As you stated in your review, we showed you all of the work we had done to the vehicle. After our standard safety, mechanical and functionality inspection, we discovered the vehicle needed Control Arms, so we went ahead and replace them along with the bushings and performed an alignment. We recondition and service our vehicles to the best of our ability, like every other pre-owned vehicle, they can never be perfect. However if we had known about any major issues, they would have been addressed. For example we have sold many European vehicles that have had to have transmission, engine, drivetrain work performed. Which would have been performed before being advertised. A positive expereince for our customers is far more valuable than profit. When you called us the following, I informed you that I understand your situation and that I wanted to help. I informed you that the warranty you had purchased was very comprehensive and would most likely cover the repairs needed. Also, that this is the reason that we encourage warranties to protect your investment, as the vehicles are pre-owned and we cannot predict the future or foresee what mechanical issues may arise. Cars are machines and machines can malfunction, unfortunately. This state has no Lemon law on used vehicles, nor any cool off period. Which again is why we encourage warranties as much as possible. What I said when you returned the vehicle, was that we have a contract on the car which was non voidable, which we explain in great depth to every customer that makes a purchase with us. It is the reason we have such extensive paperwork, to educate the consumer on what the risks are when purchasing a used vehcile and also the liability. You decided you did not want to persue the warranty option and that you were adament in not wanting to work through the issue. I advised the vehicle may be towed as it was blocking the entrance to the dealership. I see via the vehicles carfax, that you have driven the car over 2000 miles, service records show that you have had an oil change and a warranty claim for a door actuator, nothing else. For a vehicle that supposedly needed in excess of $20,000 worth of repairs, that does seem irregular.
