Oil change and tire rotation Took my Terrain in for oil change and tire rotation. The total bill was $301.97. Was told it needed front brakes. Two months ago I took Terrain in for inspection to the tune of $843.51. That time I was told it needed new water pump. My Terrain is 2012 and I felt that was kind of early to need the pump replaced. I was told there was leak in it maybe caused by winter salt or stones. I know my car is aging, but I've had other old cars over the years and don't remember having such astronomical repair bills. I am getting a bit paranoid and wondering if they see a older female and think they can just repair, repair, repair. I've used this garage for over 25yrs with no complaints. My brother just had a water pump replaced in a truck plus inspection and paid $400 at his garage. The quality of the repairs is good, I guess. The people are always professional and I get my car when I expect it. But I am losing my confidence in the pricing and repair needs. So I am not sure I would recommend your service center. I checked the yes box because there is no 'maybe' box. More
