I made an appointment and brought it in for a clunking noise that occurred every time I applied the brake. They had my car for 2 days and said they fixed the problem and the brake pad just needed to be lubed up because it was rubbing against the brake caliper. Picked up my car (which was filthy dirty!) and within a day it was making the exact same noise. Called and said I was disappointed my car was dirty and the problem was not fixed. Made another appointment, which is a joke, and had to wait in a line of cars for an hour! Then had to wait another hour for a rental car. The service advisor called me the next day and told me they could not duplicate the problem and did not hear a noise and said I would need to come in the next day and do a ride a long with them. Came down and did a ride along and guess what, myself, the advisor, and the tech all heard the noise, more than once! I was furious. The service advisor Frank acted like he didn't care and said make an appointment and bring it again next week. Really!? No thanks. I'll take it to another Dodge service center that actually listens and knows how to fix the issue. Don't waste your time here. More

I bought a 2015 Dodge Journey and had a recall issue that I needed fixed.My husband, John, dropped off our Journey on Wed Sept.6 for our 11:30 appt. Frank works very hard & cares about his customers. He said our car would be ready by 5pm on Friday Sept.8, when actually it was ready around 12:15pm on the 8th. Frank always goes out of his way & beyond to help us everytime.He was aware that we couldnt get a rental car because of no credit card & he pushed our recall issue to priority.I highly recommend anyone to go see Frank Perez in the service dept. I felt scammed. I bought my 2012 Dodge Charger from Carl Burger Dodge 4 years ago. Since then I have always taken my car there for service, including oil changes. Abo I bought my 2012 Dodge Charger from Carl Burger Dodge 4 years ago. Since then I have always taken my car there for service, including oil changes. About 3 weeks ago I took my car in for service because my driver side vents were blowing only HOT air. Too my surprise, the work didn't fall under warranty or the extended warranty I purchased. So, after $400 to fix the problem and another $300 on PM work the talked me into I was on my way. Approx. 3 days later I was adjusting my right side driver vent, it popped out of place and into the dash panel. Thinking it might have had something to do with the work they did a couple days prior, I took it back to the service dept. I was told by Frank that this problem was not associated with the work they did a couple days earlier. Then I was told it also wasn't under the original warranty or the extended warranty. Frank told me they would only charge me for the part(with a discount) and zero charge for labor. Approx. $130. I left my car there and got a rental. That evening Frank called and quoted me the price for the part and that it was a special order and would take 2-3 weeks. I went back the next day to pick up my car and let Frank know to hold off on the special order. That day I started scouring the internet to see if I could find the part cheaper. I found it for $85. I informed Frank that I found it cheaper and readily available elsewhere. I asked if they would install it at No Charge. I was told they could do it for $45. After talking to Frank I became curious if I could install the part. I took to You tube and found removing my dash panel was easy and I could do it. When I removed my dash panel to retrieve the "broken" vent I noticed the vent was not broken at all. All 4 clips fully intact. I popped it back into place and the vent was good as new. I contacted Frank about my surprising discovery via text. His response was, "understand your frustration but blame me not the technician, sorry for the experience". I felt taken advantage of. Either they didn't actually check the vent was broken or they did check and saw the vent was okay and tried to scam me. Either way, it was very unprofessional & sketchy business practice. I have spent a lot of money with Carl Burger Dodge over the last 4 years. I will never go back for service or when I'm ready to purchase my next Dodge. An apology at this point is useless. More
Terrible service department Every person I had contact with in the service department was demeaning and condescending. Jorge tried to tell me there was nothing wrong with my car Every person I had contact with in the service department was demeaning and condescending. Jorge tried to tell me there was nothing wrong with my car even though my father who knows his way around cars knew there was. Jorge argued with me about it, the car ended up having a cracked manifold. He so assumed my marital status which was completely inappropriate. Upon picking up my car I was told I could pick I up between 6 and 7 pm. I got there at 6:30 and was laughed at when I stated I was there to pick up my car. The man basically said it was "snaked in" and if it was not easily accessible I wouldn't be getting my car back. Lucky for them I was. I am severely disappointed in Carl Burger Dodge. More
Worst dealership experience ever. So I got my car towed in to get something done to it when it was towed t was left on the street. They initially told me that my car was going to be like that the next day and then the next day come they're like oh it won't be looked at until tomorrow by the way we had to tow your car off the street that's $55. Whaaaat ? I never authorized this tow never did I receive a call that my car was going to be towed had they called me I could have got my car towed from my end not their end for them to charge me 55$. I kind of let it go but then I started thinking to myself I know you guys are a millionaire company and you guys are trying to give me for my $55 that I had no idea about i don't feel like I should pay that I never authorized this tow. So I talk to the manager I really don't remember his name but he's at the Carl burger in La Mesa and he was just the rudest manager I have ever ever spoke with He was a grown man trying to argue with a 21 year old girl over 55$ And said you aren't gonna pay the tow fee it's not the right thing but it is legal. He had the nerve to tell me that he hopes that I don't ever need service from that dealership again like and so what if I did what are you doing refusing service or is that a threat ? I didn't know how to take that. And told me that "somebody's gonna pay or your car isn't going anywhere" mind you I never told him I wasn't going to pay so he had no right saying that. Also I told him I would call bbb and he said "do that". Never will I go to this dealership again I can't believe as much money as they make he wanted to argue with me about 55$ More
