As a first time customer, I was very pleased with the customer service during my oil change. Mandy was very kind and approachable, yet she still managed to present herself with professionalism. The worst customer SERVICE, everytime I go there is it something else. Made an appointment this time, I was 2nd in line. They said I had to wait for the person I made the appoint with. 8 cars behind me al something else. Made an appointment this time, I was 2nd in line. They said I had to wait for the person I made the appoint with. 8 cars behind me all got serviced and left the dealer and I was still waiting there. Take to service manager and all he does in make excuses. A simple oil change takes them 4-6 hours REALLY. If you have a choice, DO NOT GO TO CARL BURGER. More
After reading what other people had to say, I felt compelled to add my two cents. I had my used 99 Jeep Grand Cherokee Laredo serviced for an airbag sensor problem. I did research online before bringing it in just to be well informed about what potential things could be wrong with my Jeep, and also to see about how much it should cost. Well, they didn't like a young woman coming in and suggesting she already knew what the problem was. It was as if they were determined to prove me wrong after I spent the first 20 minutes arguing with the man before they even performed the diagnostic! And of course, I was right. They charged a lot of money just to reset the sensor, which seems ridiculous to me, since it didn't require any manual labor and of course told me I had other endless problems. I actually asked them about m y driver's side window problem. It was not rolling up smoothly and asked if they could possibly fix that, seeing as how they specialize in service to Jeeps and all. They practically laughed in my face, saying "we don't do that here." Why not? It's a jeep and there's something wrong with it.... finally, after that fiasco and luckily learning from it, my window eventually stopped working all together. I called a come-to-the-customer window service that was timely, efficient, and very honest. They even let me watch and advised me of all costs up front. Too bad they couldn't fix all my problems! Carl Burger SUCKS. They are especially rude to women. They were sure nice when I came back with my husband though. More
Passing along my daughter's experience; she bought a 2007 Chrysler 300 a couple monhts ago; spent a lot of money which included an "extended warranty". Yesterday, the car overheated on her way to work. She Chrysler 300 a couple monhts ago; spent a lot of money which included an "extended warranty". Yesterday, the car overheated on her way to work. She went to the dealership, they said it would cost $700 to fix the really bad radiator leak and that it is not covered under the extended warranty she obtained at time of purchase. As far as getting other estimates, she 'could drive it and keep filling it up but that might ruin the engine' so she felt compelled to leave it there and pay for the fix. Whoever heard of a three year old radiator having such a big leak all of a sudden!!! I have had cars for ten years that NEVER developed a radiator problem at all. I would never use this dealership for any type of purchase and their warranty program is worthless - just free money to them. I think they sell junk and I recommend staying away from this dealership no matter how good an offer they throw out there. More
Travis was very helpful and informed me my Durango was in perfect health and gave me a few gas mileage tips. I have serviced both my vehicles with Carl Burger for years and they always treat me right. I re perfect health and gave me a few gas mileage tips. Recently in October,we took our 2000 Caravan to Carl Burger Dodge Service Dept to have the front brakes rechecked because they were squeaking. They proceeded to tell me that my front wheel drive needed Burger Dodge Service Dept to have the front brakes rechecked because they were squeaking. They proceeded to tell me that my front wheel drive needed to be retorqued, and that my back brakes needed to be replaced. After the story I got from you, I let you torque the front shafts and said to hold off on the back brakes. After leaving your establishment, my front brakes that you replaced still squeaked. So I took it to another dealer. They looked at the back brakes and told me that I would need back brakes in about 3 years! We could tell when they checked the rear brakes that they were never looked at by you. For the price you wanted to charge me, it was obviously a rip off, which makes me wonder all of the other times I have taken it in for service, it has always needed something that I didn't even take it in for. And the price was always in the $300-$400 price range. I wouldn't recommend anyone go back to your dealership. I learned my lesson. Hopefully, someone else will read this before they learn theirs. You should be investigated for ripping off your unsuspecting customers. Thanks for nothing! Joseph Stefano More
They have the worst service dept ever. Funny how they tell you, that you need a $350.00 service and you take it to 2 other chrysler dealerships (to get a second and 3rd look at it) to find out it can be tell you, that you need a $350.00 service and you take it to 2 other chrysler dealerships (to get a second and 3rd look at it) to find out it can be fixed for $20.00!!! Tell you what I would never recommend this dealership to anyone! EVER! I took my van in for a groaning sound in the steering, the dealership said that it was normal for it to sound like that. Scott (Service Writer) Commented "Well I've got 12 other vans on the lot that make the same sound". I replied, well it didn't do that when I bought it! Come to find out it cost $20.00 for an extended power steering hose that solved the problem! They wanted to completed replace the who steering system! And to top it all off, we had made 5 trips to the service department for this issue. On the first trip I told Scott about the fact that I found on the internet the solution was to extend the power steering return hose by about a foot. Scott told me that problem didn't apply to my year/model van. We guess what, after all that time, they added 1-4 foot return hose that solved the problem. I WOULDN'T RECOMMEND THIS DEALERSHIP TO ANYONE EVER, FOR SALES, SERVICE OR OTHERWISE! More
