Great experience with Sam and the team at Carl Berger I typically decide what car I want to buy, do my research, learn dealer invoice, and then start shopping online. I normally dont even step foot on a lot until the deal is worked out. I test drive by renting various models for 2 or 3 days to decide what I want to purchase. So, after renting a 2019 Jeep Cherokee Limited for 3 days, I got on Jeep.com, configured what I wanted, did a find matches search, and Carl Berger Jeep showed up as having a close match to the car I configured. Sam Potres responded promptly to my electronic inquiry and we worked out a price and lease rate via a few texts, an email, and a phone call where I provided my info. I went to the dealership for the first time ever that afternoon and they lived up to their word, and actually improved the deal a bit when another dealer sent me a quote while I was at their dealership. Sam was straight up, the finance team was straight up, no surprises, well, except that it was such an smooth and stress free experience. Highly recommend Sam and Carl Berger! More

Bought new 2018 Charger RT Purchase was good but finance guy kept pressing on options which I never get. He pressed on the swatt/kar system saying if I can include it at no incr Purchase was good but finance guy kept pressing on options which I never get. He pressed on the swatt/kar system saying if I can include it at no increase in your payments I said fine. Then when I go to sign my payments are fine but he manipulated it to acutual increase what I was financing by 817 and I called him out. If no increase on payment though didn’t disclose an actual increase till I called it out. Very disceptive. He said I could re do it all but now would take more time as it 9pm and need to remove. I felt manipulated and disrespected. I have it. Though I don’t believe this was good and feel it was very shady of a practice. Filling my initial review I was uncomfortably confronted about my review from Mike in finance as if I was wrong for my review and it was my misunderstanding? Following day mistariously my finance rate went up after signing contract, really? Ok, went to my bank and got loan and paid dealer off right there and then. Only after the fact did I realize that I paid for the gap on there loan which should have been reduced. Now after only one day and never signed new loan at higher rate was told it was entered into the system and have to wait 8 weeks to get back my refund. Really how is that when I didn’t re sign there higher rate rather paid in full? How does that get into the system in the first place. Shady and somewhat retaliated for review I think. Hopefully nothing further shady and I get all of my refund. Will be hopeful but because of this experience in finance I will not return to this dealer. Too bad as really nice car. Happy with car and sales team but not the close out. I have bought over 30 cars so I know what am doing and felt finance is shady, deceptive and not disclosing all information up front. Example would be is told “I” get paid under the satellite tracking if car not recovered. Not true, I don’t get paid. Only after my insurance pays me out, the product pays out the short fall of the price and only pays it to a dealer to where I would buy a vehicle and not directly to me. Very good lessons learned on my part and validates my reasons for not purchasing add ons. I will not return even for oil change or recommend to others. Interesting thing is I probably won’t get any feeback or if I do, it probably will be inline with Mike’s as I misunderstand something. Hoping I get my $800.00 back but maybe it will get lost somewhere now that I updated my review? Al Rein More
