I have been buying new vehicles for 40 years and have had some issues with dealers in the past. We had recently been looking to buy a new RAM 2500 4 WD Diesel and had not been impressed with the attitude/follow-up from the dealers near our home. During a visit to our grandson in San Diego (200 miles from home) we decided to check out a local dealer just for fun. An hour later we were the happy owners of a new truck. The customer service and attitudes were very refreshing. (especially in 2012) Our sales consultant Joe Perkins was awesome. After the sale we had a couple follow-up questions and he got back to us within the hour with the answers. JJ Carr the sales manager was great to deal with as well as Fernando and the finance guys Mike and Bennett. Worse place to shop for a car. If financial fraud was name of the business I would rate them 5 out of 5. Go somewhere else. They talk a good game. But after you sing the papers they forget about you. From the moment my husband and I met Eric, we knew we were in great hands. We felt completely comfortable with him and knew that he had our best interests in mind. We had originally came to the dealership to look at a particular car, however after the test drive, the car wasn't for us (just wasn't our style). We asked about another vehicle on the lot, and Eric said that it was available however a bit above our budget. We really liked that: he was honest and cared about us, not the sale. We asked to try the other vehicle anyway, and fell in love. Eric was great at explaining the features of the vehicle and pointing out things we may not have noticed. We did not feel rushed at all; instead we felt free to spend time with the car to make sure it fit. He also discreetly gave us privacy while we discussed our options. In the end, we did not feel pressure to purchase our vehicle.. rather, we purchased our vehicle with Eric's care, help, and expertise. After we drove off with our new car (Woohoo!) the great service didn't end there. We still really feel like part of the family at Carl Burger. More
