I ended up finding exactly what I was looking for at a reasonable price. The finance process went very well too. I was initially concerned that I'd get a hard upsell for an extended warranty but that didn't happen. Sonny Kareem explained the options available and that I could get them if I wanted but if I didn't that was cool too (I ended up not getting any extended warranty). More

I had a price in my mind that would get me to move forward, and when David Flores a sales manager came out to discuss the numbers, he met my number. I was very happy! So the next step was meeting with Mike in finance, and that went very smoothly. Mike also got me a better interest rate than my credit union. I had gone to another Ram dealership a few days before, and can say that Carl Burger of La Mesa did a great job of earning my business. More
I felt scammed. I bought my 2012 Dodge Charger from Carl Burger Dodge 4 years ago. Since then I have always taken my car there for service, including oil changes. Abo I bought my 2012 Dodge Charger from Carl Burger Dodge 4 years ago. Since then I have always taken my car there for service, including oil changes. About 3 weeks ago I took my car in for service because my driver side vents were blowing only HOT air. Too my surprise, the work didn't fall under warranty or the extended warranty I purchased. So, after $400 to fix the problem and another $300 on PM work the talked me into I was on my way. Approx. 3 days later I was adjusting my right side driver vent, it popped out of place and into the dash panel. Thinking it might have had something to do with the work they did a couple days prior, I took it back to the service dept. I was told by Frank that this problem was not associated with the work they did a couple days earlier. Then I was told it also wasn't under the original warranty or the extended warranty. Frank told me they would only charge me for the part(with a discount) and zero charge for labor. Approx. $130. I left my car there and got a rental. That evening Frank called and quoted me the price for the part and that it was a special order and would take 2-3 weeks. I went back the next day to pick up my car and let Frank know to hold off on the special order. That day I started scouring the internet to see if I could find the part cheaper. I found it for $85. I informed Frank that I found it cheaper and readily available elsewhere. I asked if they would install it at No Charge. I was told they could do it for $45. After talking to Frank I became curious if I could install the part. I took to You tube and found removing my dash panel was easy and I could do it. When I removed my dash panel to retrieve the "broken" vent I noticed the vent was not broken at all. All 4 clips fully intact. I popped it back into place and the vent was good as new. I contacted Frank about my surprising discovery via text. His response was, "understand your frustration but blame me not the technician, sorry for the experience". I felt taken advantage of. Either they didn't actually check the vent was broken or they did check and saw the vent was okay and tried to scam me. Either way, it was very unprofessional & sketchy business practice. I have spent a lot of money with Carl Burger Dodge over the last 4 years. I will never go back for service or when I'm ready to purchase my next Dodge. An apology at this point is useless. More

Terrible service department Every person I had contact with in the service department was demeaning and condescending. Jorge tried to tell me there was nothing wrong with my car Every person I had contact with in the service department was demeaning and condescending. Jorge tried to tell me there was nothing wrong with my car even though my father who knows his way around cars knew there was. Jorge argued with me about it, the car ended up having a cracked manifold. He so assumed my marital status which was completely inappropriate. Upon picking up my car I was told I could pick I up between 6 and 7 pm. I got there at 6:30 and was laughed at when I stated I was there to pick up my car. The man basically said it was "snaked in" and if it was not easily accessible I wouldn't be getting my car back. Lucky for them I was. I am severely disappointed in Carl Burger Dodge. More

Gibson Henderson called me before the appointment to give me detailed directions on where to meet him, met me at the entrance, had my truck ready, and went over the entire vehicle with me then we took care of the paperwork. No hassles, No problems, It was great! This is the 9th new vehicle I have purchased and I normally do not look forward to buying a new car because of the attitudes and nature of the salesmen, but Gibson was genuinely friendly and open to my questions. Felt like I was buying a truck from a long time neighbor and friend. Went back to the Dealership about 2 hours after I bought the truck cause I had a couple more questions, and I had barely walked in the door when Gibson came up to me concerned that something was wrong. Next time I buy a vehicle I will look to see If Gibson is available first. Then we get to Bennett in the Finance Dept. Friendly and very explanatory in the documents I needed to sign. He just added to an already great experience. While my initial contact via phone and emails were with Justin Hurta, he was not going to be available on the Day I was coming out and referred me to Gibson. I don't like to keep dealer advertisements on my cars and trucks, but Carl Burger Dodge has earned the right for me to keep their Logo mud flaps on my Truck. More

Mikheal Mikheal the Super Product Knowledge Specialist 5 star service! 5 star knowledge! Darn good deal! Loved, Mikheal, Tony and Sonny. They had a job to do. Awesome job! AWESOME Time! Mikheal was well versed and knew every vehicle he showed me, to the smallest of detail. He was.professional, enthusiastic and genuine. No hard, cut throat sales tactics. Just his love for cars, and the job he does. He conveyed my wants and needs in a Jeep to Tony Roman, and together, they found the perfect Jeep right for my price range, monthly payment and sleek, sexy style. Tony provided facts, and details on price, availability and the best way for me to have the Jeep I selected. I will be honest and say, I was set in my price point. I was adamant, strong headed in what I was comfortable with. Tony and Mikheal worked very hard to get the numbers to a point we all walked away with a solid deal. Truth is, the only reason I agreed to the down payment, was because they were not "typical" salesmen. After it was all said and done, they felt more like family than, guys who were trying to sell a car. I knew they had a job to do. I knew, that was how they make their living, but instead of having the feeling of, "let me talk fast and pull a fast one..." They took their time, and worked very hard. It was easy to shake their hands and make the deal because they were honest, direct and had the answer to every question or concern I may have had. Once we shook hands, we drove over to the Finance Department where I was introduced to Sonny. Again, I was treated with a genuine smile, firm handshake and a plethora of knowledge. We did not only talk numbers, but about our families, about what an awesome kid Mikheal is, and how professional and mature he is. I would have never guessed he was only 20 because of his knowledge on most every car on the lot, but how he carried himself, like a seasoned veteran who has done this for years. Sonny was just as proud of his dealership and the job he does. I did not feel like "just another customer." It was more like talking to an old friend about a car I was thinking of buying. Again, he had a job to do. Sonny discussed all the things he felt were pertinent for me. It was not everything on his list, but a few selected like Gap Insurance which is a must. I never felt badgered or pushed into a corner, which is what I have experienced in the past at car dealerships, where I promptly walked out. Carl Burger Dodge made a very wise decision in hiring the trio of heart and knowledge. I hope the company treats Mikheal, Tony and Sonny with the same justice, honor and heart, they provided to me on behalf of your dealership.. I will send family and friends to your dealership and to those three specifically! More

I particular suggest that you bypass him and go to another salesman. (Frank Nelson) is a con Artist liar you can lie to me but don't like to my wife. Don't promise !!!!!! What you can't provide not only that but to get another sales person involved without their knowledge of what you were trying to do; just to sell a car was uncalled for. This was a sad thing to do, giving us the runaround week after week. Lying week after week. You have promised me a different type of license plate holder for my 2017 charger so I didn't have to make holes on the front bumper you also promised me an extra tank of gas which I did not get !!!!!!! Carl Burger Dodge? Is this is the type of sales rep you want representing your company !! And to say that he is a VIP working in your office should have better knowledge of having a good customer service !!!!!representing your company. I can tell you this I have brought two cars from you guys in the last year I will never go back to your dealer to buy another car until the situation is fixed. Don't promise what you get not give.
