I recently took my vehicle to Carl Black of Kennesaw for repair. I own a 2012 Chevy Malibu. I needed the passenger front wheel bearing to be replaced. I was somewhat surprised when they gave me a list of it repair. I own a 2012 Chevy Malibu. I needed the passenger front wheel bearing to be replaced. I was somewhat surprised when they gave me a list of items of repairs and or services that needed to be completed. The price they quoted me for the repair was substantially higher than I anticipated. I remove my wheels monthly to clean them. I removed my wheels shortly after taking my vehicle to Carl Black and one of the lug nuts, the rear passenger wheel, broke as I was removing it. As soon as I applied pressure to the lug nut, I knew it was cross threaded. As the lug nut came off, the tip of the wheel stud came off along with the lug nut. This is significant because a list of repairs that were recommended was the rear brakes to be serviced. That included having the rotors turned, new brake pads installed because the break pads currently installed on my vehicle only had a millimeter of pad left. The only way to give that detailed of diagnosis was to remove the wheels. There is no way to come to that determination by looking through the wheel at the rotors and break pads. Especially the interior break pad. I took my vehicle back to Carl Black to explain to them what happened in hopes that they would repair the broken lug nut. Of course they did not. The service advisor, which shall go unnamed, consulted with the technician who conducted the inspection of my vehicle who claimed that he never removed my rear wheels. My question is, how do you give someone that detailed of a recommendation to replace my rear breaks and have the rotors turned if you don’t remove the wheels. They are requiring me to pay for the damage they caused to my vehicle. On top of that, I found other damage caused by the lift. Not minor damage but significant damage that as it occurred the technician would have to know. The damage was so severe, I could not jack my vehicle until the damage was repaired. I’m not sure why they were so careless with my vehicle. Maybe because the age, being a 2012, but to me, my vehicle is special to me. It is paid for and it has been good to me. I’m just taken aback by this entire situation was handled. To add insult to injury, I ended up taking my vehicle to another repair facility to have the wheel bearing replaced at considerably less than what was quoted to me by Carl Black. I am just left feeling hurt and disappointed. Is this how they treat their customers, and veterans? More
Don’t take your car here for service. They are not trustworthy and will overcharge. They charged me a $100 to diagnose a bad negative battery terminal plus an additional $200 to replac They are not trustworthy and will overcharge. Worst of all they did not fix the underlying cause of a simple intermittent starting issue. More

I would like to share the bad experience I am having with Carl Black Kennesaw. I bought a truck a few months ago and at 20,000 miles the engine light came on and the car started having problems. I had to go to the store with a tow truck and then my headache started (09/20/23). They registered my details and told me that it would take up to 7 days to give me a diagnostic, because I hadn't scheduled the service. As if I would guess that my car would turn on the engine light! Until today (09/27/23) I haven't even received a call or an email saying anything about my car. And this is my work car. I went to the store on 09/23/23 and they didn't pay me any attention, they just told me that the car hadn't yet been diagnostic. When you get there to buy a car, you are treated very well. But after the sale is made, the treatment changes completely. I do not recommend it to anyone, and I will certainly never do business with this store again. I've never felt so bad. It's been 7 days and no contact has been made yet. I've always liked Chevrolet, but after this experience, I'm going to switch to another brand! More
Service department is horrible! They told me I needed a new transmission for $8600. I took my vehicle to Aamco and they fixed my problem for $575.00. Carl Black GMC didn’t notice it and tried to get me to pay for a new transmission. Shame on you Andre in the service department. I won’t be back. More
Poor customer service and they the wait times are ridiculous I was told I couldn’t get a car wash with my oil change the guy told me they stop doing that 10 yrs ago I told him well my when my car was ridiculous I was told I couldn’t get a car wash with my oil change the guy told me they stop doing that 10 yrs ago I told him well my when my car was bought that was included he goes on to say well you would have to wait a couple of hours mins you I got to them at 8am didn’t leave until 12pm and no car wash cause at 11:45 I was ready to and they didn’t even start my car yet so I said give me my car this is the 3rd time this happened they do not want to honor what they said at the purchase the 2nd time I went to get oil change I tried again for my crash wash waited 2 1/2 hours and then the only rinsed it off they didn’t even do the inside they are rip offs More

My service visit today was awesome. Sean was great and really went out of his way to make sure that my problem was taken care of and all the proper paperwork submitted under my warranty.
