Unscrupulous sales trickery. We talked with a manger and told him we were tired of sales stories that were not true; asking him to please treat us with honesty, he said that was there policy. We were told they had several GMC vehicles in stock that met our specifications. We selected one and it was suppose to be ready for us to drive when we arrived. We have a trade and we were told the we would get somewhere between $500 and $2000 above trade in value for our vehicle and it would only take 15 minutes to appraise. So we drove 45 minutes to get there. No vehicle ready to test, in fact no vehicle at all. After searching they found one Chevy that kind-of net our requirements. We test drove it and were willing to consider it, BUT - the trade in, oh the trade in, it took 1 hour and 15 minutes for them to appraise and came in $2500 under the KBB trade-in value for our vehicle. 45 min to drive there plus 2 hours there plus 45 minutes back - 3 and 1/2 hours of wasted time. ZERO STARS, NO INTEGRITY, ACCOUNTABILITY in this dealership If I could give ZERO STARS I WOULD. if this was the last GM dealership on the planet, I would go to another brand. On 6/9/2015 my Saturn Vue went in If I could give ZERO STARS I WOULD. if this was the last GM dealership on the planet, I would go to another brand. On 6/9/2015 my Saturn Vue went in for new tires. On 6/10/2015 I purchased a new 2015 Camaro that he saw on the lot and upgraded his 2014 Camaro to the 2015.The morning of the trade in the 2014 Camaro was rear ended, a claim was filed with State Farm. We traded in the vehicle with the understanding that State farm could view the car for devaluation. 2 visits by state farm to the dealership on 6/17 and 6/18 no one could locate the car, that was over in preowned as an internet listing sale as is with the dealer back plate hiding the damage. On 6/16/2015 we had our 4th service failure from this dealership. The service department had my tire sensor set to 50PSI, ontop of not connecting the battery from the visit on the 9th, I was left stranded in my employers parking deck. Our mechanic fixed the battery issue. On the 17th, we saw the state farm agent at the dealership, we assumed they saw the car. they "lost the car". On the 19th I called asking to speak to T Scott Jordan the listed GM of the dealership. My call was returned by Stoffon Stevenson. I made an appointment to see him, since I was "not entitled" to speak to the GM regarding the issues at hand. Steffon Stevenson talked with us on the 19th, and since he did not back up what we were told what would happen by the Sales Manager Richard T., the car was sold over the weekend of the 20th, without someone removing the bumper fascia to check for damage and we are out money on the claim and the adjuster that Richard T recommended to help with the State Farm claim. It will be a cold day in h*** before I ever recommend this dealership to anyone, We purchased our 7th and last car from Carl Black Automotive group. They have no integrity, no accountability, and not my job mentality that is rampant among departments. We took Steffon's advice to never return to HIS dealership and to take our business and service needs elsewhere. I added up the cost of the vehicles purchased with this group and it is over 250K. No more. My Husband and I did take our business elsewhere. At another Chevy dealership we found the General Manager on the floor out in the open. Despite the threats from Steffon at Carl Black about what will be covered or not, we found a dealership to go too for service on our new car. While the brand new car was being serviced (again another Carl Black FAILURE - #5), my husband found a vehicle to replace our beloved Saturn Vue with. So we traded it in. I found out that it does not take 4 to5 hours to buy a vehicle, 92 minutes from start to finish at the other dealership. We were offered options that Carl Black did not offer that were eligible under the purchase program I use. As a GMS eligible customer, Carl Black overcharged us on the documentation fee by 424.00, and shopped us out to so many banks, my credit rating is affected by this for the next 60 days. This dealership is a poor ambassador for GM. I do not like being lied too and told who I am "entitled " to speak with to address a string of failures. Steffon has the title of Business Development Manager, he is the liason with the 1-800 number for whom customers complain too. I still with to address these issues with T Scott Jordan, and am taking this string of service/sales failures up the food chain with GM. More

Vehicle had no information listed on it - no price, no mileage, no year/make/model. Came in to look around twice - was quoted three different prices. When I asked manager about why the price had increased he said he would take off the tires and rims to honor a lesser price they had quoted. Apparenlty I fell completely stupid - because I went back a 3rd time to try and buy the car. Again, quoted one price, told them to go ahead and complete credit/loan app - but then price increased $!500 again. LIARS LIARS LIARS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Salesman refused to honor his quoted price. Shameful business practice! They said they would remove the tires and rims to honor their quoted price. More
Horrible Sales Service On 3-6-15, I purchased a GMC Acadia from Carl Black in Kennesaw, GA. I requested a carfax report and was not given one. Once asked about the condition On 3-6-15, I purchased a GMC Acadia from Carl Black in Kennesaw, GA. I requested a carfax report and was not given one. Once asked about the condition of the car, I was told there were no accidents. I asked Brandon Ramsey why I could not get a report and he stated that nothing was wrong with the car and it never was in an accident. I trusted them since I was a repeat customer. A few days later (3-8-15) the car started giving me some issues and I informed Brandon right away and he scheduled service. Prior to taking it in onstar sent me a list of things that was wrong with the car (3-7-15). I immediately forwarded it to Brandon and was told that onstar was just updating and the information was old. He did say he would look into it but said everything was fine because the car passed through their inspection process. I dropped the car off (3-10-15) to look into the kickback I was getting. I picked the car up (3-14-15) and requested a carfax report again because the car was having too many issues too soon. I was again denied the report from Brandon. All of this led me to go and get a report from another dealership a week or two later (3-24-15). The findings were horrific. The car had structural damage and the odometer reading was 1k less than the prior year. I asked Brandon to work on this and see what can be done. I was told nothing by him as well as his manager (not sure who was yelling at me on the other line). Other minor issues occurred with the scratches that needed to be repaired and it took about 3 weeks (4-3-15) to get it done and the driver side still has scratches. I asked for a carfax report again and mentioned getting a lawyer and then immediately Brandon gave me an autocheck report. The car was finally delivered again and still had scratches (4-9-15). I filled a complaint with the BBB and Consumer Protection Agency (4-10-15). I called GMC Customer Service and spoke with Brain (whom no longer works there, claim #71-1463877758) and chatted with Stacie. Both confirmed that the vehicle had 4 recalls as of 3-2-15 and 2 of them were safety related. Both also informed me that the dealership would call me but my contact would be Stefan. I called Stefan on 4-18-15 and was told he did not address issues on the weekend. On 4-20-15, I then called the finance manager, left a message and never received a phone call back, called GMC twice with no luck and Stefan. Stefan said he would speak with Terrell (the yelling manager) and get back to me. On 4-21-15 Stefan called back and told me to set up an appointment with Magnum to get the vehicle reevaluated. 4-22-15 I called Magnum and was told to come in whenever. The same day David called back and told me that Terrell would schedule the reevaluation and put me in a loaner on 4-27-15. When I arrived at the dealership Stefan sat down with me and I showed him the carfax report. Once I showed him the report, the whole story changed to trading the vehicle in. They attempted to trade the vehicle in for $25,000.00 but I only could choose from the rental vehicles or new vehicles that were way above my price range. I asked to speak with Stefan and he was not available, I left a message for him to call me back and I have yet to hear back from him. I called Stefan twice and left a message on 4-28-15. On 4-29-15 I called Stefan again with no response. Robert the new GMC rep called to replace Brain and I updated him. 5-4-15 called Stefan again and left a message with no luck. From 5-6-15 until 5-15-15 Robert has been attempting to get someone fro Carl Black to call be back. I have been transferred from person to person within Carl Black and left numerous messages with no response. I have even been hung up on!! I have even left messages for Scott Jordan and Lewis Spate. I am sure that Stephanie at the front desk can testify to how many times I have called this dealership to resolve this issue. I can go on and on about the horrible customer service. Brandon Ramsey was a terrible sales rep and purposely sold me a car to make his quota. He refused to give me the report because they knew the car had structural damage and the odometer was tampered with. Terrell was a horrible manager to speak to a customer in the manner in which he spoke to me. The finance manager didn't have the decency to return my phone call. Stefan initially tried to work with me but decided to no longer accept my calls and ignore my messages. Scott and Lewis simply didn't care enough to get involved. Now I am stuck with a car that is worthless due to the structural damages and odometer tampering. I just want them to take this car back. I don't want to do any further business with them because they are not trustworthy. I will be sharing this experience with anyone that will listen or do something about this until the situation is taken care of. More
CARL BLACK REVIEW CERTIFIED WARRANTY SCAM My wife and I purchased a GM Certified 2011 GMC Yukon XL From Carl Black in Kennesaw, GA in March 2014. Our sales person was amazing! He was kind, a My wife and I purchased a GM Certified 2011 GMC Yukon XL From Carl Black in Kennesaw, GA in March 2014. Our sales person was amazing! He was kind, approachable, super hard working and apparently no longer employed by Carl Black. Honestly, I think we overpaid for the vehicle but the truck seemed to be in great shape and it was in far better condition than any of the 20 other vehicles we had seen. My wife and I previously owned a Chevy Tahoe and absolutely LOVED IT but we needed the extra seats to fit the 3 additional children we were about to foster. The vehicle had sat on the lot for more than 3 months un-certified but when we started inquiring about the vehicle, the sales guy promised he would have the truck certified for us. This came with a 2 year bumper-to-bumper warranty and with free oil changes for 1 year. We purchased the vehicle and immediately things started going wrong... First the DVD screens stayed on even with the car off and burned out which Carl Black replaced within a week of our purchase. Then I remembered that the Sales person forgot to share the 172 point inspection report with us that shows the condition of the vehicle so that they can prove to GM that the truck is worth certification. I hounded the sales guy for months afterwards and never received the paperwork even though he said he emailed me several times (yeah gmail is really not delivering your emails or are you not sending them). On a summer vacation to Florida in June the dashboard cracked, in July the images on the A/C buttons started to fade and whip off with each touch and in September the brakes started to smell. Then finally in October during a routine oil change and tire rotation at our local GM dealership we were told that the tires were so warn and rotted that they could not legally rotate them without replacing them which was a $915.00 bill just 7 months after purchasing the vehicle. Best yet we were told that the dash and the buttons would not be covered by the bumper-to-bumper warranty and that the warranty had 'just" expired. What happened to 2 years you ask?!?! Yeah it was a 2 year or 10,000 mile warranty {read the fine print}... who drives 10,000 in 2 years? I really don't understand how a vehicle sits on a lot for more than 3 months without being certified if indeed it can be certified. I am in marketing and I would think that would be a HUGE selling point. Also how could a "certified" used vehicle wear tires down to the the steel so quickly when they are suppose to be greater than a certain amount to even get certified. AND how a vehicle that is garage kept could have developed tire rot from anywhere other than the dealership where it sat on the lot outside for 3+ months. And how could a vehicle with rotting tires (extremely dangerous I might add when transporting 5 children under 5 years old) pass a legitimate "certification" examination. BUT here is the kicker... we called Carl Black and they still will not send us the 172 point inspection paperwork because they cant find it and they will not even entertain replacing the tires or fixing the defects. WHAT A JOKE!! More
I purchased my GMC Acadia back in late March 2013. My initial salesperson was very courteous and helpful, but he has since left the company. When I purchased my truck I also included an extended warranty initial salesperson was very courteous and helpful, but he has since left the company. When I purchased my truck I also included an extended warranty and given 2 years of free oil changes. One of the only thing I ask to have replaced was an a/c vent in the back passenger seat that was broken be replaced. I was told it would be by my sales guy & Will Washington who guaranteed me it would be replaced they were going to order the part. So let's fast forward to September 2013, I was pulled over by the police yesterday, the officer informed me that my truck was registered to my old Volkswagon CiCi. Ithank I had my insurance card and every receipt from the DMV with me. I called CB and spoke to Amber who told me it's the responsibility of the owner to go to the DMV and change the tag or get a new one, she was helpful , however I had already paid to have my tag from CiCi changed over to the Acadia months before. DMV said the only reason the other tag was issued is because CB put in the request for a tag change although I never received it, plus I already had paid the change fee. I called Amber back to let her know, I have yet to speak to her. I also, ask the customer service service representative who I spoke with prior if I could take my truck in for servicing because the truck indicator for an oil change came on, to the dealership closest to my home which was in Morrow, Ga. I told her I have a 2 year free oil change service plan, she told me yes, I can take it into any GMC. I went to the dealership in Morrow and recieved a bill for 51 usd. I promptly called CB and spoke to Chase in service who told me that the information given to me was wrong it would only be honored in CB delerships. So, I have a warranty that's paid for and told by one I can use it anywhere only to have to pay for it once the service is done. By the way I am still waiting for the pRt to be replaced in my truck, I had heard the part came in, but if they need it for another vehicle they will put it on that vehicle and order another one for my vehicle. That was 6months and Will Washington word that it would be replaced has proven to be of no help to me. I would not recommend this dealership to anyone who would still like quality sevice once the sale is completed. Once the sale was complete the follow up service falls short. Very short. More
