While getting an emmission check they do a "free" diagonic wheel aliment check & give you the printout along w/ a $10 off coupon good for any work done w/in 30 days. A week later I made some c "free" diagonic wheel aliment check & give you the printout along w/ a $10 off coupon good for any work done w/in 30 days. A week later I made some calls to get estimates on a AWD aliment. Last Sat. (Jan 7th) I called Cargill service @ 10:25 am and was tolld a decent price (+ the $10 off coupon)When I asked how soon I could get an appointment the man said "Is today soon enough?" Never expecting there to be enough time since they closed @ 12:00 when he asked if 11:00 was good because there were 2 cars ahead of me, I agreed. So I rushed everything to get there in 35 minutes. I made it right on time and was told they'd be right with me. 1 hour later the car hasn't been moved. So I went to the desk to see if there was a problem and they said something came up and sorry blah blah & they'd be on it in a few mintes. Another hour passed and I thought this is just not right. All the employees were about gone. As I was walking around their lot waiting my phone rings and seeing their number come up I headed for the service desk again only to be told "Sorry, there is a problem w/ the machine. It needs to be calibrated and the guy can't do it till Monday. Can you come back during the week?" I nearly fell on the floor! "You gotta be kidding?" First they make me wait 2 hours then they have the nerve to tell me they can't even do the work! So I asked what they plan on doing to compensate for all my time wasted. Maybe a free alinement, free car washes, what? "No, we can't do that" Well, I found out the next day that "free" alinment check was a scam anyway & didn't need it. Bottom line, I will never go back and will tell everyone I know to stay away from their service department. More
I bought a 2007 chevrolet tahoe from these guys over the phone and out of state. Paid cash and was a very easy customer. I signed a paper saying they owed me a roof rack they would mail to me. I received ha phone and out of state. Paid cash and was a very easy customer. I signed a paper saying they owed me a roof rack they would mail to me. I received half of one with even the hardware to put it on. Took me 5 months of calling to have them finally tell me flat out no to sending me the rest of the roof rack. Typical car dealership that once they get their money they could care less about you. They knew i was to far away to show up and complain so they just didnt care. More
I purchased a new vehicle from Cargill and everyone was all over helping me - I then took the vehicle that I did not trade in and asked if they could give me an estimate on the repairs if any were needed. all over helping me - I then took the vehicle that I did not trade in and asked if they could give me an estimate on the repairs if any were needed. They called me back and told me i needed spark plugs and replacement would be $265. I stated I would have the work done at the end of the month and he slammed me with a $100 diagnosis fee. I asked him why they didn't mention the upfront diagnosis fee and he got very angry. I stated I just purchased a new vehicle and I had spent quite a bit on downpayment and would come back at the end of the month for the repairs, he said fine and hung up on me. I then went to pick up the vehicle that I 'drove in' and the vehicle would not drive. It was so bad I had to have it towed. You could tell they took the plugs out and did not put back in. I then called Joe and he said "I was a liar" that the car "could not have been driven in", I told him to check their surveillance cameras to show I did, he said he would not replace anything and was extremely rude. When I asked to speak to the owner, he snapped and said he was the person I could talk to, finally transferred me and "accidentally" hung up on me. I left 2 messages with the owner and still waiting for a call back. I purchased a 23,000 vehicle from them, and put $2000 down, and they are trying to say I'm scamming then for a few spark plug repairs.. this is ridiculous. It's a shame they are all over people for the money and their customer service is so bad after you invest. Joe was rude and I can't imagine he is a manager of a company. More
Ron and his sales manager told me conflicting stories and outright lies during the process. The only reason I bought the vehicle was because it was priced under book value. It was a 2008 Suburban for 27K. I outright lies during the process. The only reason I bought the vehicle was because it was priced under book value. It was a 2008 Suburban for 27K. I bought it and then Cargill never registered it, and once they finally did tregister it 9 days later they did it wrong. We were without a vehicle for 4 days because of this. After it was all said and done, they refused warranty service despite the fact that the vehicle FAILED INSPECTION. The truck leaks rainwater, tailgate doesn't work, lights are out, back-up camera is dead and etc. Cargill is a den of thieves. Stay away. More
I had been searching for a Trailblazer SS for about a month and couldn't find the exact one I wanted. I finally found it at Cargill on cars.com on a Sunday night. I called Monday to see if it was still t month and couldn't find the exact one I wanted. I finally found it at Cargill on cars.com on a Sunday night. I called Monday to see if it was still there and Frank couldn't have been nicer to get me there to buy the car. Being 100 miles away, I wanted to make sure things were going to go to the way I wanted so I wouldn't drive up there for no reason. They were VERY accommodating and worked out a deal that I was comfortable with. I traded in my car and they paid it off as well. So as we were driving home in the car that night the tire pressure monitor light came on and we also noticed a chip in the windshield that apparently no one else had noticed. I called Frank the very next morning and he was again very accommodating and said that we would set up an appointment when the windshield guy was there so I could have everything done at once. This was Tuesday. I called every day to touch base and every day it was something else-no one had talked to the windshield guy, Frank was helping another customer and he would "get back to me", the phone even got "disconnected" a few times. Fast forward to Sunday with still nothing resolved and one of my windows got stuck down in a rainstorm. I called them first thing Monday morning and played phone tag for about 2 hours. The windshield guy was coincidently there that day, so I drove up (100 miles away). They fixed the windshield and the tire sensors and told me that nothing was wrong with the window and even asked me if I was sure I WAS PRESSING THE RIGHT BUTTON. I mean really. So I left and went home. The VERY NEXT DAY the window would not go back up AGAIN. I called them immediately and I'm pretty sure I was hung up on a couple times. I wanted them to come pick up the car (which they advertise that they do) and bring it back to me fixed since I had wasted the previous day at the dealership and did not want to be inconvenienced again, and John in service actually said "well youre an hour and half away". So my response was "so its ok for ME to be inconvenienced two days in a row but not you when its your problem and you need to fix it". My fiance knew what was wrong with the window so I told them what needed to be done and unfortunately wound up driving up there AGAIN to have it fixed. They did fix it with what my fiance said it was and so far so good. I would NEVER EVER recommend this dealer to ANYONE. They are amazing at first to get you buy the car and once you drive away you are basically on your own. You have to call them back time after time to get anything accomplished. If I had read some reviews of this dealer I would have never bought my truck there, I would have waited until I hopefully found another one. More
Mark Berquist is an exceptional sales consultant. No pressure sales with a down to earth attitude and a joy to talk to. Mark had the vehicle ready for us to test drive even before we arrived. When we pressure sales with a down to earth attitude and a joy to talk to. Mark had the vehicle ready for us to test drive even before we arrived. When we got back to the lot we sat down to discuss the business end and it was an easy exchange. I was stunned when Mark asked us if we wanted to drive home with the beautiful vehicle we just test drove. After an hour or so with the paperwork with an equally talented back office gentleman we were off with our new vehicle. I would highly recommend Cargill and specifically Mark Berquist. More
I have dealt with Cargill for years. The body shop, quick lube, and the actual dealership are top-notch, well run establishments. I can't speak enough about Karl in the body shop, they do great work. Howe lube, and the actual dealership are top-notch, well run establishments. I can't speak enough about Karl in the body shop, they do great work. However, the service division is horrible. The four Cargill divisions fall under different management, and it can feel like you are dealing with four different companies. I have always had problems with the service dept. They borderline lie - hide costs - don't tell you things up front. I have overpaid for services such as a simple oil change because they don't tell you up front what the costs are. Its almost $50 cheaper to have an oil change done at the quick lube than it is at service. Keep in mind this is the same company. They refused to honor a warranty repair claiming they never heard anything about it until I threatened to call GM. All of a sudden they "found" the warranty issue. Even after they replaced the defective part, I got charged a $99 diagnostic fee. The very first time I brought a car to service they severely scratched the hood - on a brand new car - and tried to say it was like that when they got it. It never got fixed. I've had three GM cars now - and while will I use the rest of Cargill, I will never leave my car in the service dept again. More
Dealership had the truck we were looking for and they gave us a fair price on our trade. Financing rate obtained was excellent. In just 2 hours we were on our way home in our new truck.
