sold me a defective car. Unsafe to drive. In December 2018 we purchased a 2018 Nissan with about 4400 miles, like new. Clean car fax they provided. On the drive home a front collision sensor In December 2018 we purchased a 2018 Nissan with about 4400 miles, like new. Clean car fax they provided. On the drive home a front collision sensor light came on. I thought well, I will take the car in to Nissan since it's under warranty. Next morning I noticed oil under the car. So I got the car in to Nissan right away and they said the oil leak was because someone failed to remove the old oil filter gasket and it was "double gasketed" . We could have been easily stranded if the gasket had blown out. Back to the sensor. Had the car in to Nissan three times for the front sensor. Finally, Nissan said the sensor won't line up because the car had been in an collision. Remember, the clean car fax. So, I took the car back to Cardinaleway and they called me a liar at first by saying it was impossible for the car to be in an accident since it had a clean car fax. I told them I took the car to a body shop for their opinion as well and they confirmed the collision. Next, Cardinaleway took the car into their service dept. and their rep told me it looks like it has an after market bumper on the car and that is why the sensor won't line up. The sensor is a safety feature that could put the brakes on and could brake the car unintentionally. Bottom line is they told me it was going to cost $2000 and they were not doing anything. We were lied to when they said they did all of this "special service" that cost about $1200 to every car they take in. That's BS. IF they did this service they charged us $1200 for they would have found this problem not to mention the High School shop 101 error with the oil filter. We are talking to our attorney. Update 5/2/19 still no response from this dealer. Just got my car back from a Nissan Body Shop and they showed me the damaged parts and gave them to me for my records. Buyers Beware. More
