The entire process beginning with the online prequlification, income verification on the phone, and in store experience was totally underwhelming and pathetic. The transition in the sales process was unnecessarily stressful. This would be my fourth purchase from Carmax and it may be my last. The previous vehicle that I had purchased was from the same location. I couldn’t speak to that sales rep because everyone wanted to help me. I didn’t want their help. I wanted to speak to the last person who helped me purchase my car. It made me feel like I was not being heard and my wants and needs didn’t matter because it’s “not the CarMax way.” I probably would’ve had a better experience if there were price haggling. At the end of the hours long “quick pickup” or whatever it was supposed to be the vehicle was sent to be washed and it wasn’t. It was put in the bay with the same dirty spot spots that I pointed out before it went to get cleaned.. every single car I purchased from Carmax never was washed as they said it would. And to make matters worse, I’m having car trouble within the first 30 days. The CarMax experience that I’ve grown to love I’ve now grown to loath. More
