As a first time buyer from CarMax, I will say that I was happy with how the whole process went! Not only was it easy for me to look for vehicles and see their history, the amount of pictures from the inter happy with how the whole process went! Now, as soon as I made a choice, or thought I did, I was called the next day, and they even helped me look at a few others via a link through text messages. Once my mind was made, I started some of the process for obtaining the vehicle so that it made it faster and easier to obtain. I set a test drive appointment, which I later skipped, went to the dealership, and left with my new car! I forgot to mention that my car had to be shipped, which, depending on how far it is, cost me nothing as it was not too far from the dealership I was close to. I think it's nice that they could do that. Also, if you find that it isn't what you wanted, you do have time to exchange your vehicle or, if need be, cancel the whole process. FYI, the customer service was great! More

It took 2 hours to trade-in our older model, purchase the auto we wanted, check our credit, create the paperwork for the sale, trade-in, and financing, and then we were out the door in our new used car. Dealer uses experian for auto history, which was inaccurate. I ran carfax for $45 of my own money and found car had been in an accident, not reported on experian. Carmax failed to detect loose drive inaccurate. I ran carfax for $45 of my own money and found car had been in an accident, not reported on experian. Carmax failed to detect loose driverside window and missing splash plate under vehicle found by subsequent inspection by another service. Please use carfax, it is obviously inaccurate. Carmax salesperson was patient and knowledgable. But they should've offered to reimburse for carfax since it was more accurate about car history. Like the fact you can have cars shipped for free from nearby areas. More
