After I bought a 2022 Highlander on Aug 9, I brought it back to service on Aug 13. Then, when I come to pick up the car on Aug 22, there is a new dent on my driver's door! I knew it wouldn't go well b back to service on Aug 13. Then, when I come to pick up the car on Aug 22, there is a new dent on my driver's door! I knew it wouldn't go well because the lady representing the repair group was showing an atitude of reluctance and lack-of-care in the beginning. The manager of the repair/service talked to me, then he brought the general manager, Hunter Renick, to me. Hunter first offers full refund, I couldn't take it since we have wasted a lot of time since Aug 9 when we purchased the Highlander with cash. Even if I get full refund, the time spent, and the trouble it will cause will be too much. Then Hunter offers another Highlander, which will need to be transferred from FL to Garland TX. I am ok with that but I am not happy to have to pay 1000 usd extra in the end. My overall experience is pretty bad with Carmax. I will not come back again. And as a business school professor, I will teach is unpleasant exp to MBA students as an example of poor management. More
