After much shopping around solely via email, I purchased a 2012 Pilot at Capitol Honda and had a great experience. By email, I dealt with Ray Uhri who was quick to respond and beat the best price of any Bay a 2012 Pilot at Capitol Honda and had a great experience. By email, I dealt with Ray Uhri who was quick to respond and beat the best price of any Bay Area dealer who I had reached out to. Still, I was concerned that after driving 55 miles from San Francisco that stereotypical tricks would be pulled or that the model/color I wanted wouldn't be there. My fears were completely unnecessary. Ray was off the day that I came to the dealer so I dealt with Lou Tobias, who was courteous, professional, fair, and didn't try to sell me anything I didn't want. He's been doing this for 7 years and it showed. My internet price was honored (even lowered a little bit). I think that Lou could sense that I was well prepared and armed with information and respected that. Finally, I completed the financing with Max Kibu, another veteran, who made things as quick and painless as possible, and without any last minute surprises or hard sells for add-ons. Capitol was the 5th Honda dealer that I'd visited in person during the past month (test drives, looking at colors at others) and, without a close second, was the most professional. Thanks. More
As with any dealership I'm sure, this was an overall good experience but they were not perfect. The sales manager we worked with initially (Raul) is great. He did bring out a sheet printed from Kelly blue book and claim it to be an official Honda invoice price, but other than that I really liked working with him. Another sales associate named Roger really made this deal happen by working with us on price and options until we both felt we were getting a fair deal. Roger was totally straight forward with us, but provably because we talked to him with a lot of knowledge already so we were just haggling the details. The person who helped also named Ray was awesome and helped after we agreed to buy the car with paperwork and checking to make sure it was cleaned, had the alarm installed and that we were comfortable and happy during the whole process of finalizing the deal. Our only bad experience was dealing with Capitol's finance manager, who was quite an experience to deal with. He seems like he's had about 3 energy drinks right before he meets you, and he talks a mile a minute. Although annoying that would have been excusable had he not lied to our faces about the warranty info, and also he doesn't know anything about the actual finances except what is written on the paper. 1) Warranty - We were told we had to buy their extended warranty before we drove the car off the lot, or it was immediately considered a "used" car and was no longer eligable for the warranty. This is a complete lie. 2) After coming back the next day having done some research on warranties, he was instantly willing to drop $1,000 off the price and we still got a better off somewhere else. I don't know why Honda pricing on their warranties is so different from dealership to dealership but it's kind of disheartening and we feel u sure buying one from any dealership now. 3) We asked where the interest number came from based on our financing and he said he couldn't tell us, that's just "how it was". I finally pulled out a piece of paper and figured out that interest was multiplied by the amount due each year, and those numbers were added together. Very simple math, and knowing this stuff is his *job* 5 days a week. I tried to explain to him how his own company calculated total interest over 5 years, and I'm still not sure he understood it. Unacceptable. This individual was almost enough to sour our entire experience, since he was the last person we dealt with, however I'm keeping in mind all the other great and hard working individuals like Raul, Robert, and Ray who made the overall experience enjoyable and something I would recommend to friends (with a heads up about certain things like warrant info). More
This is the best dealership I've gone so far and actually it was my first time, I used to own different brand of vehicle 5 of them and this is my first time I switched to Honda and I don't regret in going to it was my first time, I used to own different brand of vehicle 5 of them and this is my first time I switched to Honda and I don't regret in going to this dealership especially with the people working around like Mr. Tony Johnson and Mr. Oscar Solis you feel at ease and comfortable in dealing with them. They really worked hard in helping me to get my first Honda vehicle and I said to myself if this are the kind of people and treatment that I will worked with I won't hesitate to get my next vehicle from this same dealership, I thank you so much and salute to TONY JOHNSON and OSCAR SOLIS you're great guys. Oscar is the best car salesman I've ever worked with. He's extremely helpful, knowledgeable, sincere, humble and patient. I had just visted Toyotoa on Capitol feeling dissapointed with the entire process. I felt they didn't want to work with me at all. Then we met Tony, and he really worked with what I needed. He made what I was looking to pay possible when Toyota said it "was IMpossible". Then finshing the financing process (which I thought would be a dragged out process) with Shak, was anything but that. He was great to work with as well. I really didn't think I would be driving away with a new car that night but they made it possible. Great team working there. Thank you! More
I needed some repairs done on my 2000 Honda that I thought would be best handled by a dealer. Since Stevens Creek Honda was closer, I went there first - big mistake! They tried to charge me just to look at the car, and that charge wouldn't apply to the repairs. I told them what the problem was, it didn't matter. I could go on, but this is about my experience with Capitol Honda. From the minute I called them to the moment I arrived, I knew I made the right choice. When I called, I spoke with Sean, one of the service mangers. He actually apologized for my experience at Stevens Creek Honda and told me to come in and they would take care of the problem. When I got there, Sean was with a customer, so I dealt with the assistant service manager, Angie. Not only was she very knowledgeable, but she had a great attitude. She even brought me back to speak directly to the mechanic who was working on my car. The mechanic was very helpful and explained exactly what was going on and the best fix for it. (I apologize, but can't recall his first name.) They had to order a part ,which was in the next morning. Angie sent the shuttle driver over to pick me up - I didn't have to ask. When I arrived, my car was ready to go. To put it simply, if you need work done on a Honda, you will be doing yourself a great service if you first go to Capitol Honda and ask for Angie or Sean. You'll be glad you did. More

I went to Stevens Creek Honda looking for a used Honda Accord. They would not work with me, just an all around horrible experience. I decided to go to Capitol Honda. I was greated by Ray. Was willing to work with me, with the price and the apr rate. I got a lower rate then I would have if I went with my credit union. Ray had me laughing the entire time and made this experience very stress and worry free. I have told everyone I know about my great experience and recommended anyone I know that I know that is in the market for a new or used car to go to Capitol Honda and ask for Ray Endemann.
