I visited 3 dealerships on February 1, 2014 (Stokes in Clanton, Larry Puckett in Prattville and finally Capital in Montgomery). Of the three dealerships, only S. Harris at Capital Chevy greeted me or eve Clanton, Larry Puckett in Prattville and finally Capital in Montgomery). Of the three dealerships, only S. Harris at Capital Chevy greeted me or even attempted to access my needs. In fact, I did not see a salesman on the lot at the other two dealerships and by the way, I did purchase a $50,000 SUV! This was truly a great purchase experience. I had done research on line including pricing information on the GM website and other sites so I felt I was prepared for dealing with the sales staff. I had also prearranged financing for the vehicle purchase with my credit union. The sales staff were excellent. Roger was very easy to deal with. I never felt any sales pressure being placed on me. In fact Roger went thru all of the potential rebates availabe. I already had my credit union pricing, credit card rebate, owner loyalty rebate information so I felt I had it all. Roger identifed my COSTCO rebate also saving me an additional $500. After getting the appraisal on my car, we were quite close on the price I had anticipated. In fact, I had arranged pre approval for the price. The sales staff reduced the price quoted to match that amount. When I got to the closing, Matt asked if he could arrange financing. I told him I already had a 2.99% 72 month approval from the credit union and did not anticpate he could beat that. Ten minutes latter, he got me a signficantly lower rate. We also discussed the need for extended service contract and while I did not intend to purchase with the finance savings he generated I was able to purchase the extended warranty and still have my new car payments match my old car. I walked out with the car I wanted at the price I wanted and payments my wife wanted. It was a great experience. I would highly recommend these guys. More
We had no intentions of buying a car when we went in to Capital Chevrolet. I spent the majority of my time with Joseph Mitchell. He is a consummate professional; knowledgeable, friendly and delightful to be around. Bill Kissinger knew his "stuff". He went over all the features of my new car and helped this non tech person understand how to use the functions. Matt Geddings handled the paperwork wonderfully. If I had to complain about anything, it would be leaving the dealership without my old license plate off the trade in and the absence of a temporary tag for the new car. All of that was corrected with minimal inconvenience. Over-all I had a wonderful experience at Capitol Chevrolet and would purchase another car in the future. More

I was looking for a light blue Ford Mustang GT, 2011 or later. Capitol Chevrolet was the only dealer in the area that had one, but theirs was a manual transmission and I only knew how to drive an automati later. Capitol Chevrolet was the only dealer in the area that had one, but theirs was a manual transmission and I only knew how to drive an automatic. When I explained my situation, they offered to teach me how to drive a manual transmission; in particular, Steward Copeland spent a few hours teaching me. The price was pretty good - $25,800 after fees and taxes for a 2013 Mustang GT that had 14,000 miles and a $26,500 bluebook value (plus the free driving lesson). Also, the staff I dealt with were very friendly and no high pressure sales tactics were used. I would recommend this dealership to anyone in the market for a GM car or truck. More
