I was at Capital Eurocars two weeks ago with the intention of buyi I guess the only thing I could say about the experience was...OMG your not serious. I was at Capital Eurocars two weeks ago with the intention of buying a second car for my wife...why does my wife need two cars you ask? We have two homes one in Tallahassee and one in Sarasota and I thought i would get her a car to drive for the week that she was in town each month. If my business associate had not done business with this company and highly recommended it i most likely wouldn't be so pissy. After dealing with the sales person and completing all the paperwork including insuring the car I was "informed" that they didn't "like" my check and would like other payment. It was suggested I could finance the car and pay it off the next day (I'm sure everyone loves have their credit run for a one day loan)...or I could wire transfer the money...which is almost impossible after 911 unless you have transfer privileges prearranged. Or I could ask my friend to lend me the money and pay him back or at 440pm I could race over to Monroe and get a certified check from SunTrust or i could give them a 5,000 deposit on my credit card and send them a certified check for the difference the next day. So i responded that they could charge the full amount to my AmEx and they responded can't do that... So I said ok charge my card 5k as a deposit until the check clears and I was told no because if the check didn't clear the car could have been sold to someone else...even thou they had my 5k on my AmEx I explained that I had a meeting in Gainesville the next morning and wouldn't be back to Tallahassee till the 1st and wasn't concerned about taking possession of the car and they could hold it...after all they had my check which would have cleared and 5k on my credit card. not good enough so i said ok run my card for 5k which they did and said I'd send them a check the next day which the response was It would have to be certified. At this point I think I had the Epiphany that they really didn't care about my business and came to the conclusion that this transaction was not meant to be and I canceled the transaction. The response..."was it something I said"? Rather than being a respected business person I would have been dealt with better if i was a Colombian drug lord with a briefcase full of cash Sorry to the Salesman who spent time selling me the car as it wasn't his fault. In the future I'll insure I avoid Crown Dealerships More
