I bought a new 2011 GTI this weekend. Great price and great experience! I would recommend this dealership to anyone looking for a dealer and sales staff that does not pressure you into making any decisio great experience! I would recommend this dealership to anyone looking for a dealer and sales staff that does not pressure you into making any decisions you would think twice about after the purchase. The sales staff is courteous and attentive. Contact Moe Afzal in the sales department if you are looking to purchase a vehicle without the typical drawn-out, hidden fees purchase experience. Thank you Moe and Nick (Sales Manager), and the finance department!! Joe, Happy VW Owner, San Diego More

Can't review re maintenance, but the buying experience was very good. Salesman Ryan was friendly, knowledgeable and capable. I did my research on the car and prices and there was no pressure to purchase was very good. Salesman Ryan was friendly, knowledgeable and capable. I did my research on the car and prices and there was no pressure to purchase the car, though they obviously wanted me to buy. He helped easily smooth over any minor bumps in the sale and made it a very pleasant experience. The finance officer Kevin, was very good, did not pressure me to purchase the extra after market packages like theft protection, coatings etc. All in all one of the best car buying experiences I've had. I would recommend this lot. More
I bought my car approx. 1 year ago and have had negative experiences ever since. I went there for their promise to make every customer happy. I was lied to when I bought my car and it has continued to get experiences ever since. I went there for their promise to make every customer happy. I was lied to when I bought my car and it has continued to get worse over time. I was suckered into their maintenance package and told how wonderful their service department was. Quick oil changes, ease in making appointments, the list goes on. When I called to make the appt for my first oil change, it took me 10 minutes on the phone and they couldn't even give me an estimate on how long it would take. They had my car all day and it was barely finished by 6pm. I brought my car in for the 10,000 mile check up (oil change and tire rotation) on Thursday night for service on Friday. I got a call at 4pm on Friday that it was completed. I was told that I had to be the person picking up the car and I couldn't even have my fiance come down to get it. So we both drove down to pick up the car, I went off to make my appointments and he drove my car home. We took the car out on Sunday and smelled oil when we started driving on the freeway. I figured they spilled oil while doing the oil change and didn't think anything else of it. I drove approx. 50 miles today and when I got off the freeway a light came on that said "Oil Pressure off. Turn off engine!" So I pulled over to a gas station and had to get my towed to the dealership. The oil leaked everywhere, including the entire underside, all over the exterior paint and leather interior (its a convertible). By the time my car stopped smoking and was cool enough to touch, I pulled out the dipstick cleaned it off and checked the oil level. The stick was completely dry. The oil was sucked completely out of the car and I am hoping it didn't do any damage to the engine. I am currently waiting for the Service Manager or owner to get back to me so I can meet with them and discuss how they are going to resolve these issues. More
You tell me if you had ordered a part for something back on November 15th they stressed 2 wks, so you paid for it and now going on 8 wks still have no phone call? Is that customer service. You have your on November 15th they stressed 2 wks, so you paid for it and now going on 8 wks still have no phone call? Is that customer service. You have your battery looked at they break the top lid covering so it starts melting onto my engine? Worst I pay for Replacement of collant reservoir which cost $270.00 excluding tax...but whats interesting is that when my battery lid breaks it's interesting that all my fluid caps are open too. They were never closed properly (all of them)? My part that was ordered was a base to a seatbelt. This was not working properly and when the dealership quoted me $480.00 to fix it I of course declined. We are talking about just the connection part not the material that binds around the body. They never put the plastic back on the seatbelt. It has now ripped my leather seat terribly and the center cosile. If you are a female young-middle age- or elderly I would avoid this dealership. I would be curious to see just how many of there complaints or no follow-up behavior is with women. I have submitted a complaint to the BBB that is just how horrible my last 2 visits with this dealership have been. Even booking my appointments ahead of time they are either never put in the book, or there has not been enough time alotted. Again if you are a female I would avoid this dealership. They do not treat everyone as an equal, and I am now spending the hours to prove it on paper. It's really sad that this is an actual certified Volkswagen Dealership. SAVE STRESS AVOID CAPO VW More
We did a lot of research on the web and went to Capo VW after looking at several other dealers. They had, by far, the largest number of good value, good quality used convertible Beetles. Greg was very pati after looking at several other dealers. They had, by far, the largest number of good value, good quality used convertible Beetles. Greg was very patient, pulling several different ones out for us to see. He offered test drives in all of the ones we were interested in. He was very polite and professional, but did not pressure us to "make a decision." I called and spoke with Tom, the Sales Manager. He was also very polite and was able to answer my question. We went back two days later and Greg met us in the parking lot. Again, very professional and friendly! He brought around the model we were most interested in and then patiently showed us our other possible one, answering questions in a very informed manner. Once we decided, we sat down to what was actually a very pleasant negotiation. Ususally, I go out to the car and read at this stage, due to how adverserial it becomes, with my husband and the sales staff going to battle. It was NEVER like that at CAPO. The financing staff was very pleasant and easy to deal with. Many sales reps talked with us while we were waiting, even though we had already made our purchase. We will definitely return to CAPO VW for our next car. They were warm, friendly and very helpful. Oh, the car is great, as well! More
