When arriving at the dealership we were greeted promptly by Colin Ferguson. He asked why we were there and when told He went about showing Us several used vehicles. My car was towed into the dealership on Feb 10 and thankfully they were open late on that night. The service representative and manager were patient and kind as I explained the thumping noise coming thankfully they were open late on that night. The service representative and manager were patient and kind as I explained the thumping noise coming from the front of my car, a car I have had for nearly 9 years. They explained the process of determining the cause and the cost associated with diagnosing it. They calmed my fears and assured me they would make my car safe to drive, or hold it for repairs if needed. I was then given a tour of the waiting areas and handed over to Jay, one of the sales men. Jay brought me in, listened to my concerns and also my wants/desires of the next vehicle I would purchase. I was particularly delighted that he did not push me into a new vehicle and agreed to call me if he found something that met my specifications. The service manager checked in with me to explain the cause of the thumping - a loose tire due to the lug nuts shaking free. He told me the work they would do and let me know they would also ensure the rest of the car was safe. Jay spoke to me a while longer and then I went to the service desk to pay. I was given diagnostics on the overall condition of my car and estimates on what it would cost prior to the next inspection. I was so relieved to be leaving in my own car! These men were incredible - kind, understanding, well informed and specific in their explanations. I felt as though they cared not only about my predicament in coming in, but also that I feel safe going home. The whole atmosphere at Rockingham Toyota had a family feel to it. I had the 60K service performed in addition to three other concerns I had with lights on the dash, radiator concern and spongy brake feeling. Since we had such great experience at Rockingham Toyota, I recently returned to buy a new vehicle for myself. Of course I tracked down Jay to make sure he was the salesperson that helped me. He was again extremely helpful and knowledgeable. He made it clear that he understood the difference between making a quick sale and keeping the customer coming back, and that is exactly what he does. The vehicle I purchased had minor imperfections that we knew about PRIOR to the sale. The dealership made every effort possible to give us full compensation for the damages and repair them at no cost to us. My experience dealing with the service department was amazing. I never thought I could enjoy dealing with a dealerships repair department, but they fixed everything on time and even gave me a loaner for the time it was being fixed. I cannot say enough good things about Jay Enright, and the entire Rockingham Toyota staff. They definitely go above and beyond, and I could not be happier with my new vehicle.
